- certainly can be an interesting, - and of course cheap, place to sit, - the heat my get you at times, the plastic seating probably not up to BKs standard 555 ! - but always an option, as mentioned, the family run all the streetside liquor selling places along Sukhumvit, the corner of soi 13 sets up first, around 9pm, but it is better action closer to Thermae, outside the Family mart, but they arent allowed to operate until after midnight - also, they dont mind if you take your own bottle along, [ they only sell Beer,thai whisky and mixers] - as long as you buy a few 15bt bottles of coke and a 10bt bucket of Ice occasionally. - The closer to 2am, the better the "passing parade"

- certainly can be quite entertaining, especially around 2am - of course the hard part in Bangkok at that time of night is finding yourself either still in need of a drink, or still without a TG in hand ! - The proposed closure of Clinton plaza may quiten it down a little, but I doubt it, as you say, its right on the migration route from soi cowboy to Thermae to soi 7 to nana -

- just a fresher for the newbies - especially with the 2am closing etc, a seat at a table somewhere by the Mini-mart - Deli France, from midnight on, can be very entertaining ..... and cheap !

You're absolutely right brother TPE. Sitting in front of Clinton Plaza in the wee hours watching the world pass by is very enjoyable. What's even better is if you're there with your lady friend and you're hungry and she cooks dinner for you. There were 6 of us all together and one of the street venders provided us with everything we needed. My ex and one of the other ladies did the cooking. Imagine having an authentic Thai meal prepared for all of us right there on Sukhumvit and the whole thing costing only 400 baht total. You gotta love LOS. Peace BTW- This would have been a lot better if the bros I was with hadn't tied me to a chair and forced me to try the fried grasshoppers, fried beetles, and fried silk worms. NOW THAT'S GOOD EATEN!

Hey bro, not really. I only get an occasional customer from time to time but that's okay. I was a weekend convention dealer for 17 years before I retired the business about 5 years ago. It started to stop being fun and started to be more like work. With me it was always more about trying to help people fill in the holes in their collections or finding those rare items rather then the money. This web site allows me to treat people like collectors instead of just customers. have to agree with u its a great hang out after hours!! nice place to have yr after 2am drinks and TG watching!! since its a open aired area, it can get stuffy at times!! and check out the "mobile bar"...i wonder they know how to fix a "Margarita'....

- the mobile bar guy [original] got shunted out of the Ambassador, because he was doing too well !! TIT, see he now in front of the Leader Mart near soi 12, - as after years Ive finally given up on Thai whiskey, - I now take my own, or better still, buddies visiting know to pick up some duty free.... and then just by some coke/Ice etc. at 15 bt a bottle ... - normally I sit outside the family mart when I make it to that area, and right, anytime after midnight/1am is entertaining !
