Right now, if you are here on a short visit and you want to get the best bang for your bucks, go to Pattaya. The girls are better in terms of attitude, quality, and quality. The bars are raunchier than in Bangkok, and the shows are superb! Plus if you want to party all night long, Pattaya is it. If you're into Soapies and Oilies, then you can try Bangkok, otherwise, spend most of your time in Pattaya.

True that, although bargains can be found in Bangkok off the beaten tracks, if knowing where to look and have the time. I have a few oil massage places where extras are bt1000, or bt500 (repeat business) for bj, or hj. Lot of karaoke bars where extras can be had for bt500-bt1000, but no English spoken. One bar beer where full service, with room and bf, is bt1500-bt2000 net. Shots until you run dry for 2 hrs. Some of the quality reminds me of old soi zero though.

Pattaya is definitely more newbie friendly. Since many of the bars are concentrated in one large area it kinda gives it more of a buzz compared to Bangkok. And of course, for the Russophiles this is the place to be in. I love the wide selection of Russian food that's available here.

Here's an example of the relaxed attitude that I have observed in Pattaya. In the gogo bar, you could have the girl with you for about an hour, groping and molesting her, of course, buying her the lady drinks. For the entire time, she will never once utter the words "bar fine". In Bangkok, you'd be lucky to get away with that for 10-15 minutes.
