There is another crackdown in Pantip going on.......
All shops/stalls (DVD/Software) are closed. Only a few touts here and there..... They look scared.....

Also consider that japanese dvds are ntsc format, and LOS is pal format, so the ones you buy probably won't play in your standalone dvd player back home.

Bull, there are many NTSC DVDs available in LOS.

oops.... typing error - meant to say really good suggestions.....
the girlfriend picked her visa up today from the Japanese embassy in Bangkok so she is over the moon - kept saying thank you velly much over and over again when I callled this afternoon....
Funny I am looking forward to a break from Japan and she is looking forward to coming to Japan - still it she be good fun having her here - I only work 5 days x 8 hours a week on this project instead of the usual 6 x 10 so we will have a bit of time to enjoy ourselves.

I've never been to this place. I did try one in Phuket though. It was fun.
Anyways,
It's located on Rama 9 in the Kating indoor leasure center. Hope it's still there.

Check out the landmark website I posted.
Look under special deals or something like that. you can get a room on the club floor for about $112 not including tax of gov't fee's. The club floor allows you to use the club lounge as well as have a good breakfast. And the breakfast is NOT continental, but actually has food!! ha ha ha!!
I've stayed at the Landmark plenty of times. Everything is very close and the hotel is guest friendly. Accomodations are also nice.
Have a good Visa run!!
