Quality vs Quantity issue. Why go half way around the world to save a few bucks with less attractive women in Pattaya vs Bangkok. Plus the place looks like a sh_thole. If cheapcharlie is your style, go to Pattaya and ask for LocalYokul to take you around in his Volvo.
Sleep disorder issue, also. You'll worry more about how to stayup and get as many STs as you can. Try to drink M150 or redbull as much as you can when you get tired. You'll be lucky if you get any sleep at all. Try to get a quite hotel. Be ready for the best time of your life. Good luck and keep us posted.

you can sample the lasses in PTTY until you find the right quality you're looking for, then latch on and ride, ride, ride...
heck I even pick up chicks from PTTY to take to BKK with me for overnighters, but I've previously sampled their wares in most cases.
Should avoid those Red Bull, M150 caffeine cocktails, especially if you'll be drinking.
If you like to enjoy some water sports Jomtien might be worth a visit, cleaner than PTTY's beach, and not far away. At least there's no F-in smog in PTTY and it's not under a huge centralized greenhouse effect like BKK.

Just to give you some food for thought, some of us that have chosen to make our homes in Pattaya don't really appreciate such statements as..."Plus the place looks like a sh_thole. If cheapcharlie is your style go to Pattaya...." Comments like this tend to paint everybody there with the same brush and often are not looked on very kindly.
I have bought a home in a rather nice neighborhood and it is anything but a sh_thole. I am raising a daughter and trying to make a decent home for her and hate it when comments such as these surface. It seems to reflect on me personally and I don't particularly like it.
You might give some thought before you post such comments in the future.

5 days is hardly any time at all. I'd make it 10 if at all possible and spend equal times in both. If your focus is more on just sex, up your Pattaya time. That's what I did my first trip. More women, better prices and no it's not really a sh_thole.
Gradually I put more time into exploring BKK vs. Pattaya as it is a unique city anywhere in the world. The P4P is a given so having 10,000 beer bars available got to be less important. My vacations have become less 1 dimensional as a result. I'm not preaching here, I still partake in that particular dimension.
If can't up your trip time, just pick 1 and go with it. If you can't decide, flip a coin, both locations have their merits and you'll enjoy either. It's a case of differences not superiority IMHO.

5 days gives you time for 1 city only. you have to consider the long trip and the jetlag also. better get yourself oriented in one place and stay there. you will enjoy it more.
do not believe that pty is a cheap charly place and bkk is big bucks only. there is both in both cities. hotels and food are a bit cheaper in pty. and there is the beach. (not the nicest one, though). bkk is fascinating in itself.

ForMen just doesn't get it. He's obviously hardly even seen PTTY, and doesn't realize that it's surrounded by some great golf courses and beautiful estates.
ah well, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
