I like Pattaya better then BKK because it's cheaper your money will go about 15 to 20% further. Few degrees cooler and the nite life area is easy to get around. Only 3K bars in Pattaya. Budget of $125 per day will more then float your boat. Enjoy.

Pattaya - Buyer's market with 2AM nightlife and excellent value for just about everything (transportation, hotels, girls, etc.). Even the bus to get there is dirt cheap. It's much more conducive to GFE also IMO. The beach would be nice and relaxing if they didn't have all those hawkers bugging you every few seconds.

BKK - Seller's market with 12AM closing times for some but overall prettier girls IMO. A few of the working girls in BKK are honest-to-goodness 9's and 10's, with a price to match. It's the big city with all the usual ups and downs. The endless hustle and bustle along with the horrible smog can be a bother.

Bottom line... I think you're right to visit both. The ratio is up to you, but if money is an issue you certainly can't go wrong spending the bulk of your cash in Pattaya.
