I like reading these stories...I have had a mix bag of experiences in Thailand. In the philippines, being a younger guy (mid-20s) seems to get you a lot of interest from the girls...Even girls who are already with guys on barfine, they still make a play. And I know its not cuz I am the best lookin guy in the world...just younger is all. It does get old after about a week when you wanna try to be on your own for a little bit. Its always the same routine over and over again and you just wanna be like "quit f***in grabbin me already!!"
Thailand is different tho...In Bangkok I think it is a lot tougher being a younger guy, the better looking girls on average seem to be not interested...they are holding out for an older rich guy I guess... doesn't mean that a guy goes home empty handed..ya know...just requires a bit of personality and a smile never hurts...you can still bag a hot chick...but then its hard to get rid of them sometimes....
Down in Pattaya the girls seem to be more aggressive towards me than in Bangkok...A lot like in the philippines where you get swarmed right off the bat...So basically, Thailand is the best of both worlds....In Bangkok, you are able to blend in a little more...and Pattaya is good for an ego boost...no matter where you go, you should always end up with a smile on your face.

I know it is hot. I just mentioned what thai culture dictates. Long trousers = mature, short trousers = little boy. Beards are not seen as general icons of beauty, more as rare or strange. Which translate in thai very quickly to dirty. (You don't shave, then you will also not shower.)
As of what I do with this knowledge does not need much explaining after you read my post. "......T-shirt, shorts and flipflops,shaving once a week".
Looking like a rich, mature and clean person in thai culture, means looking like a sweating, stinking pig ready to spontaneously combust to me.
I prefer to look like a loser so I can save my explosions for when I'm dressed in a condom only.
That is my fashion statement

I think it is a bit about being different. I remember bringing my buddy to Thailand for his first trip. For some odd reason he goes out with a girl twice before the trip and he's head over heals in love with her and determined not to cheat while in Thailand. What a dork but thats another story. Since we had planned the trip anyway he decides it would be uncool to back out so he comes over for two weeks instead of three and makes it about 8 days being a good boy. A little groping at Midnight bar but in bed alone every night. Well, we get to Phuket and one of the hottest TG's I've seen grabs him and LOVES his goatee. I play the devil and get him tanked up and then offer just pay the BF and take her home. You dont' have to do anything. Well, you guys know what happened next. Anyway, this TG loved the facial hair. He wasn't a looker or flashy dresser but that goatee worked for him that night. As the best man I so wanted to tell that story at the wedding. Yes, he married the two-date American girl.

Without overstating the obvious - a little deoderant goes a long way - leave the "I'm with stupid" t shirt home. Lots of "bling-bling" (gold chains and teeth for the over 40 crowd) not a good idea - leave the Mr T starter set at home.
Respect - that will help you catch the BG of choice.
Behaviour - don't grope every girl that walks by at the bar. Act like u have had sex before.
Class- show some class - makes you more approachable no matter what u look like.
Humor - make them laugh - it will pay off later.
Bottom line - treat a lady like a whore and a whore like a lady and u will be fine.
