My wife came down with cancer almost 6 years ago. Late middle age, chemo did her sex drive in.
Many guys on this board are more comfortable dealing with shaved balls, shaved pussy topics. I tend to ignore their snide comments and just try and pass on useful information.

I am so sorry for you and your wife. I cannot relate to what you and your wife have been and are going through. I have dealt with many patients as a RN that have went through what you guys are going through and I do know it is a long and very difficult process to get through, especially chemo therapy. But it is people like you and your wife that gives the rest of us inspiration to go on when we feel like throwing in the towel. Hats off to you bro.

I kinda like your style. Some observations for your studies, although I’m still not sure what you are studying yet?
Be careful of generalisations, especially with such a diverse group as I encounter here in Asia as long-term expats, or short-term male visitors. You can categorise, but not generalise.
I am twice divorced. I love ladies.
I don't think I fall into any of your categories. I am fairly successful in business, and I am fairly successful with women in most countries (Europe, Australasia, Asia and the Americas so far at least!).
I had a (monogamous) serious (may I say "high class, good family, well connected") Thai girlfriend, just after arriving here five years ago, and may have another (dont know yet). We are still friends. I travel too much for anything more serious. She accepts this. I have a friend on soi 33 (very different to my old friend) who drops anything for some fun as required. I butterfly, but she has another sponsor. I never pay her, just the cost of the night out. We seem both happy with this relationship. No pressure so far for anything different.
I think I come under the category of
"Extremely comfortable with my need for female company at times, but with a mistrust of having my wealth taken from me via the courts"
I LOVE the girlfriend experience from these beautiful Thai ladies. Even the PFP ones, if chosen with care, are very, very special. (others are brainless f_cking instead of a wank) You should come and try - it is your only failing in still posting on this board, and I think the result of some of the animosity from guys here to you.
I have lived in South America as well. There are many ladies who are paid for their time with men there, and many brothels in those countries as well. I have been to places in more than one South American country that are superb for guys, but were “cattle farms” for ladies. Asia is no different, and from some respects the clubs here are much kinder and more humane.
I am not talking about the selling of youngsters into prostitution. That is a small part, but not the majority of it. MOST of the women here do it because it is soo easy and fantastic money for them.
Do the men cause this situation? How do men "make" women sell their bodies for sex? Would the ladies still "sell" themselves if it were different? Why is it "different" in some countries? Are the red-light districts in "wealthy" countries in Europe necessary to let off steam and? or would it stop exploitation of women and reduce prostitution if they were closed?
More; why is it I have to pay for women? why don't women pay for men? why cant I go to a pub and have married women come in and pay me for my time? get me drunk? play pool with me? take me home and give a good (or sometimes average) f_ck and leave a large tip next to the bed for me? Why dont they buy me a nice watch or set of golf clubs?
May I say there are similarities here to a Latino South American attitude to men, in that they are given the senior position in society first without earning it? The man can get away with a lot, and he has a lot of leeway.
Why do I answer? I think it is too easy to flame, and I think I too am interested in people’s motives. The answers you received were very illuminating.

Really didn't want to quote you as you posted quite a novel. It is comforting to hear that there a some intelligent mongers in here. I was getting a bit worried, but you and a few others have eased my worries.
My motive is to have everyone take a step back and evaluate their life. I do not actually believe that the TGs are the victim in this matter. I strongly believe the victim is the farang. Why do I say this? Stupid is as stupid does. Here we have all of the money and luxury but act as rubbish. Hearing most of these threads and the field reports lets me believe that the Thai people are laughing their asses off at our EXPENSE. Hearing of the drunkenness and stupidity of the farangs makes me feel ashamed that I will be judged accordingly to my predecessors and I do not want any part of that.
It is unfortunate that the few good guys have to explain themselves to a TG over and over again that you are a nice guy and yet no matter how many times you tell them, they will not buy into it because of past BS artists. Perhaps this is why the American women are as cold as they are because of the BS games men play.
So who is the bigger fool? My vote is for the farang who doesn't respect himself and thinks he is a demigod in a land of poverty. Those of you that are like that are worthless and need not demoralize such a beautiful country. And for those who respect themselves and want to enjoy LOS, my hat is off to you.
I can hear it now. I am a troll that is trying to preach against P4p. If you still think this then you still aint got it! Perhaps you should sober up for a few hours and get your mind off sex for a few minutes, then perhaps you will understand.

I do not crave respect from any unseen mongers lurking in here. And my style is me. I did a few gag threads to stir up a little controversy to make some of you guys look at things in a different perspective. Fools to me that I started a self-inflicted publicity stunt that has caused such mistrust from everyone.
There are different stages within the psychological development of a human being. The last stage is the reasoning stage. The ability to reason and read between the lines. Ever heard of sarcasm? I will give you an example so you won't continue in "What is your point? dilemma. Walk into a room where it is very hot and then you say, "Can you turn up the heat because it is quite chilly in here?" So you are inferring that you are too hot by being a sarcastic SOB. I am sorry if I do not write in simplified terminology and didn't play along with the norms of forum writing. Now, I hope you get it, cause I aint gonna repeat it again!
And for the Thai monger. Haven't met any lately. Perhaps I can devote a field report in your behalf as I will desperately seek out Thai mongers during my stay in August so that I can get firsthand knowledge of Thai mongers. Maybe I can post an ad in their local newspaper, "Wanted: Thai mongers needed for survey.
