Brothers, especially Kay & Sam, thank you for your support. I feel much better knowing that there are others in this forum whose going through what I’m going through – I thought I was weird or something. Anyway, I am slowly getting back to “normal” in my life here in Los Angeles, USA, but not a day goes by without me thinking about LOS. I don’t think I will ever look at life the same again. It’s the strangest thing. I’ve f_cked chicks in 4 continents, I’ve been to Melbourne, Australia, London, England, Hong Kong, Las Vegas, New York etc…I live in Los Angeles where there are plenty of beautiful women, and not once did I feel the way I felt leaving LOS - the void, the emptiness and the loneliness. And like many of you mentioned, it’s not only the crazy sex…it’s the total Thai package. Thailand is like an empty canvas with all the colors at your fingertips, and you paint the pictures you want to paint. This is the beauty of LOS that any man can create & fulfill his fantasy…if you have the time, the energy and the money. Don’t get wrong, I know LOS has flaws actually many flaws, but like love is blind, I only see the beauty of the rose that I call LOS with its many thorns.
Anyway my brothers, thank you all for making me feel better about my bout with Post LOS Syndrome. Wish you all good health (you’re going to need it in LOS), happiness and prosperity.

Post LOS depression is a bitch.
I arranged things around business so that I could get back out on a reasonably regular basis (about 4-5 times a year for about 3-4 weeks a time). Problem now is that all my business can be done over the web. Supliers are in place, shippers know what to do, and I no longer have a viable reason to go back more often than once/maybe twce a year.
So I lie! I tell my good wife I need to go back more often - I arrange things with my partner that if I mostly pay my way, and get a little done whilst out there, that he will hold the fort here - and keep the missus in the dark.
So I work hard when here - put aside 400 a week and when the 10-12 weeks between trips is finally up, I am good to go.
Before leaving LOS, usualy the day before, I book the next flight out. Then back home - work hard and get the xet 4-5K togther for the next trip.
With the flight booked I know I am going, and know that I need to keep working well to bring the cash in - otherwise I might have a flight - but f_ck all to spend.

I have found that the best short time answer is to (as kev says) is to book the flights as soon as, you may not be there, but at least you know you are going back and when........
I have 3 trips July, Oct and Dec flights all paid for allready........... its the only way to go............

Summertime and the month of December is the worst time being away from LOS.
Summertime, no sports. Last night, ESPN had a dart tournament, and ESPN 2 had the college baseball world series. The only buildup for the month is Wimbelton, the Olympics and WNBA. Better go to LOS and act like its your highschool senior year summerbreak.
December, Christmas b.s. equals zombies going to the mall to get a $50 gift for granny. Waiting, waiting, waiting for that one grand day. Better go to LOS and have that day of giving for 30 days.

UKY, This may solve the post-los syndrome but if I was to buy my ticket months in advance, the pre-los syndrome kicks in very early and becomes even more magnifed. So, unless there is a special deal going, I prefer to deal with the post-los syndrome as best I can and buy my ticket only a week or two before I am due to travel!

The disease you describe is known as Pre LOS Anticipation or PLA, which is a remarkably different disease to PLD (Post LOS Depression). Most analysts agree that PLA does have some undesirable side effects, but that anyside effects experienced are more than compenstated for due to seriously reduced PLD symptoms.
Some of the undesirable effects of PLA seem to the untrained analyst to be the same as PLD (such as constant browsing and posting on forums), but the drivers behind the sympotms are the real definer. In PLD for example, the biggest driver is to try and re discover all that has been lost in an effort to re-live it, whereas in PLA the main driver is planning, anticipating and relishing what is to come.
