go over to soi LK metro, its an L shaped soi off of soi diana and soi buokhao.
there are dozens of guesthouses above the bars there with rates running from 600-100B per night, all taking cash payment.
the bars on LK metro are loaded with fun friendly girls waiting for you to pay to f*** them.

I have been traveling to Pattaya since 1976 and have NEVER been asked for a credit card when checking into a hotel.
Just tell them you will pay up front and give them cash. If you had one of those business cards I suggested earlier you could give it to the receptionist and she might understand where you are coming from.
Go to Soi 6 when you get settled. There is no way you can fail to get laid there unless it is your own doing.

Many of the bars on Second road, the next one up from beach road, have rooms to rent for cash only. They usually only have one, or two rooms for rent, all you have to do is ask, writing down what you want.
They charge about bt600 now. Remember you are only sleeping, and showering in them, you're not going to live there long term.

Unfortunately I did not have access to internet for a while, and I was running around Pattaya trying to find a room. Found Mike Hotel (previously found Mike Orchid Resort and Mike Beach Resort, I am guessing there is a Mike version of Jim Thompson for Pattaya?), which I suspect is bkkz's Mike's Place. But they didn't have a room... Finally found a place, Lido Beach Hotel, and it's not too bad. Great location, right next to Mike Hotel in fact. At 1200, it's a bit expensive but I hadn't read your comments, and have already paid. Oh well. Thanks for the attempt to help folks.
Many of the hotels just flat out said they had no room, never asked for credit card or cash. This contradicts what agoda.com said, but who knows, maybe agoda sucks donkey balls. I was walking and taxi taking all over Pattaya, so I willo just stick with Lido and save my back any problem.
Okay, it's 6 PM, I will start looking at the reviews, and check places out. Thanks guys.

It may seem like that. Basically, each company is given a certain allocation of rooms to sell, and when they run out, they tell you it's sold out, which may not be true. I normally, switch to other booking companies to check and they will normally give you a different result. I did this once in Manila, and it worked. 
You definitely, need to get your credit card sorted out ASAP.

The hotels he was checking were telling him they were sold out, not the online sites he was looking at.
Agoda showed the hotel had rooms available, but the hotel when he asked them said they didn't have any is what he is saying.

What we need is a photo of this guy from Dr. Love or at least a description.
I mean being unable to easily find a hotel in bangkok and pattaya on 2 seperate occasions indicates his appearance is raising red flaggs. Sir do you emit some kind of bodily odor that is unbearable to those you come in contact with?
This guys sounds sincere but im starting to wonder if he is just playing with us.

I have been taking extra showers just in case there WERE body odors involved in this terrible experience in pick up. Got a shave just two days ago in case it was facial hair. Will wear full pant and shirt tonight, in case it is the leg hair. Haha.
Last night was... Interesting. I like Walking Street in Pattaya, that is a red light district to be proud of. Not sure what the hell the parents dragging their 3 year old kids are doing on that street, but whatever.
A quick check of reviews seemed to rate Baccara very high, so I went there. Several girls of lovely facial features, so I tried to get one. She said 3000 for short time, 5000 for long time. Seemed way too expensive, and I remember you guys saying they make the rate more expensive for the people they don't want to go out with, so I passed. No need to get a starfish. Tried to get several other gals, including one who I did everything short of a signal flare. She definitely saw me and smiled back to me like she was going to come to me once she got off the stage, but when she did, she went to a korean guy that was on the other side. Basically that ended Baccara for me. Moved on.
Went to Angelwitch, and couldn't get into it. Packed to the brim, and half the girls on the stage outside of the shows, didn't have numbers??? I asked a waitress and she said come back at 1:30 for those girls. So I left.
Went to Alcatez, and like it a lot there. The problem was every girl I wanted seem to already have been choose. Basically if they are chosen, they shouldn't be on the stage. Sigh. Four separate girls I waited for to get off the stage, and they all disappeared.
So, gave up for the night, BUT will go back to Alcatez tonight earlier, and hopefully get someone before the crowd grabs anyone worth getting.
As to the folks asking why my credit card situation has not been fixed, the answer is I walked into the bank's one location in Thailand, and they couldn't get the United States version of that bank to listen to them. Since I can't use the phone here, I am simply stuck waiting until I get back to the U.S. before I can read them the riot act. I have some cash on hand, so basically the only problem I am having is RESERVING a room. And since I can not RESERVE the room that agoda.com said there was available, I ended up finding a lot of hotels that claimed to be full.
Thanks for the help, guys. Will report back, eventually.
