Howdy all;
As I wait for the dang passport to arrive, I continue to dream about my upcoming trip. One area that I continue to ponder, however, is HOW to pick the gals up. There are are four different categories as far as I can see:
Escort - I am not sure I would want to do an escort type thing, because they send whoever they send, and I won't know if I like or dislike before she's in my room... Any one use this option at all?
Bar Girl - My understanding is a bar girl is already inside the bar, and comes up to you and tries to get you to buy her a drink, and then get ST or LT. I also hear EVERYONE tries to get you to buy them a drink, so you're fighting them off. Since I don't drink alcohol, this is a negative. How do I NOT buy them drinks while still being a potential customer looking to get someone?
Massage Parlor Gal - Now these seem to be available based on a number/letter, and then easy to interact with in person in a room. But, if you want to see them outside of the MP, is that possible?
Freelance - This seems like the best choice for getting a non-drunk non-explotive money grubber, BUT, you read about it being more risky, dangerous, etc. So not sure about this, and also afraid to ask out a non-working girl. Ha.

Rule one
Don't say its your first trip-

Try Eden Club. The girls are genrally very nice, and are real professionals - with others you will easily end up with a starfish.

Escorts are actually pretty good. I have met a few that my friends have called. They are probably the same quality as the freelancers that you could get anywhere else, just that you are paying a premium because an agency is involved.
Sure you can always arrange to meet an MP girl outside her work. Money usually does the job. You could try the girls at the Oily Massage joints, as the have all day fees ranging from 1,500-3,000 B/day. All you need to do is to find one that will go out with you.

(I suggest "buy drink" first and see how the girl is like in person - but if you just want to go ST, it doesn't matter)
Massage : "Number 23 please" (give 100 or 200 baht tip to papasan). Don't over analyze the massage place, just pick the girl by number, walk to the room, proceed.
Escort - I'd skip those right now, get your feet wet in bars or massage places.
Heck, go to Biergarden Soi 5 - walk around, and sit down next to a lady that strikes your fancy "I buy you drink, ok" is usually a good start.
