Sounds good to me, but I am scared that by the time I come back, this lady then will claim property of me. I paid her, so I must have been fine with her service and she will lose face if not. From own experience in the PI I know that most of the other girls in the bar consider the customer to be stuck with this particular lady.

OK. This is the way it works. Let's say you need a haircut. You find a barbershop and the sign says, just for the sake of example, 200 Baht, or $5.00US. Cheap, as you were going to a good old fashion union barbershop at home and with the tip a haircut was costing almost $20.00US or 800 Baht. Being that you are such a kind and generous fellow and you are happy with the hair cut, and, after all, you have such deep pockets, you give her 400 baht or $10.00US. Guess what? The next time you go for a haircut, if you see the same girl, the base price of your haircut will be 400 baht and she WILL expect a tip on top of that. The same thing works with pussy. If you pay some girl 4,000 or 5,000 baht for a average piece of ass, the next time, if you give her less, you will hear about it. Plus, get enough guys doing this and the girl gets an over inflated "sense of her worth" and will start trying to get that much from her other customers. This, in turn, prices her out of the reach of some of the brothers' vacation budgets and so on, and so on, and so on..........Another dumb tourist ruining a "good thing" for those who live here and/or visit on a regular basis.

These idioms may be old but they are really designed as opiates of the masses. A bit like the really old one about 'it being easier for a rich man to go through the eye of a needle...' blah blah blah.
While people with little money like to assume the rich are foolish, it really doesnt seem very likely. I mean if they are that foolish how come they have money in the first place.

Not wasting your time counting the coins (BigDUSA left apart).....just do whatever you like, only limits are the law and your budget....given that most of the people will follow the law, then it's all a matter of budget....people with different pockets see the world in different ways....so why bother???
