Maybe, but he sometimes paints with a very simple, broad brush.  Maybe I error on the other side of the coin.

yes very good observation, I do paint with a broad brush. maybe I should narrow it down.
as most of us are involved in the p4p scene thats where my comments are geared to.
i have no idea what good thai girls are....lol. very hard to get to know people outside of p4p if all you can say fluently is mai khao jai......lol.
all I know is that if you dont worry about all the nonsense of dealing with girls who provide for money bangkok is the greatest place on earth. if you like this kind of thing.
some of the girls are so damn sweet you wish they would do something else with their lives......but like I said I try to stay away from the nonsense (resucing girls,etc) and just enjoy bkk for what it is.

Ok, its about time I filled you guys in on what happened.
My plan was to arrive in Bangkok and give the internet chick a call after a couple of beers.She on the other hand sent a mail asking for flight details saying she wanted to be the first Thai girl I met when I arrived, but I wasnt having any of that!
So I checked into Grand President and off to a regular bar for a couple of beers and afew games of pool.After the couple of beers I had a couple more and then afew more after that.The problem was I was playing awesome pool and I just couldnt lose, but finally I decided to leave and find somewhere I could make the call.It took my about 15mins to find a shop where I could call and in the end the phone just rang out.
So I decided to quickly return to the bar and try my hand with the average pool chick who has been flirting all night.
Low and behold I had her back to my place in about 30mins,sex was average but it was nice to have a chick to snuggle up to.Woke up early enough and I started thinking about the internet chick.Now bearing in mind no cash was mentioned with PoolGirl,she was the type of girl who was looking for a farlang boyfriend to buy her clothes,food and maybe take to the beach, she wasnt trying the hard sell.
I lay in bed brainstorming for about 2 mins thinking up a way to dump this chick, as you all know its harder to dump girls in Thailand than it is to get them.
So when she woke I told her I have a potential internet GF who I needed to meet,PoolGirl wasnt happy at all and my laughing didnt help, to make things worse I felt horny again.So to recover from this situation I asked PoolGirl if she wanted to watch a movie later ( not that I wanted to go with her).She said yes,so I proceeded with my seduction techniques and before you know it, round two was over.
Then I asked for her number which she wrote on the back of a cigarette box and I told her I wanted to be her GIK ( haha thanks guys this is a great word) I told her I really liked the internet girl but id like to meet her from time to time.With this she grabbed the cigarette box and ripped it up, she was pissed but all I could do was laugh,i just cant help but laugh at these crazy situations.
She asked me for taxi fair which I happily handed over and she was gone! Mental note to dump a chick ask her to me my GIK haha.
After a shower, my mission was to catch up with InternetChick, I headed for 711 to get a sim and make my life easier.I call InternetChick and she answers, she tells me I called too late and she was asleep ( later she told me she was pissed off and taught I went with another girl,as if I would!).We arrange to meet at MBK outside MacDonalds.
Now since I think my storytelling is really really crap you guys can decide if you want to hear more...

No cash was mentioned and no contract was signed.
I'm not a mind reader, so in my opinion if the girl is looking for payment she should say, otherwise I will
treat her exactly like a western chick! I have done this many times but have always had the problem of how to get rid of the girl,anyway GIK is a gem of a word.

Really? Well, if she was a Western girl, or not waiting for payment, why would you have a problem of how to get rid of her??

BellaItalia, I'm not trying to pick on you, but I don't like to see people throw around words they don't understand just to get a free feely from a bargirl. That's not nice, manipulation of people. But maybe you think because she's a whore it doesn't matter if you cheat her with your new toy, the word gik.
I'm sure you've come to Thailand many times. And I'm sure you also know that it is fairly customary for Thai bargirls not to mention the price, it being understood that the man would pay a decent amount after the deed. This is the custom. This has been mentioned many times on this board, at least as many times as your new toy, the word gik.
At least this was the custom til more guys started pulling crap like you outline.

I'm not saying you have to be an angel with all women and try to marry them. People could go back and live with their mother if that were so. I agree with Baquawn's post above, you do have to string women along a bit; but what he is talking about is a kind of relationship (even if temporary), not an excuse.

many years ago when I was at a uni I alwyas did extra things for my night's pleasures... I am talking about in the u.s.
In the morning take the girl out for breakfast or maybe just pop to the store and buy food for her apartment.... didn't have to be money in her hand...
BUT I cannot believe all the ways people try to get out of paying something to girl who just rocked your world all night (or even an hour)....
My God man, is $50 so much that you have to try and find a way out of it?
Bu ti guess there is a difference between folks.... some people go to LOS to have a good time and actually have some money in their pocket, and some poeple get there on a shoe string and don't..... and spend there time living meal to meal and free f*** to free f***.....
A sad way to live... why not make some decent money and live instead of a miserable existance.......
