hello all Noknoi Got to agree about that customs door going thru that is like one of the hardest things a guy can do. Once thru it the thai illusion goes poof and reality hits you hard. Only thing left on the other side of that door is the 25 hrs on thats dang plane and going back to your job.

Certainly, esp when you have your LTGF that is half your age saying goodbye to you. It is like going thru prison doors. On the other hand, the flip side is that experience when you go through Thai customs when arriving (I always dash off the plane and get there before everyone else). The customs officials in their stiff, but unbuttoned jacket process through another horny farang. Go down those stairs, pick-up the bags, go buy the customs corner, travel through that U-turn tunnel (I go real fast and swerve around the Japanese tourists and their carts of 8 bags), come out into the big arrival room, and finally see my honey and 1 or 2 of her friends all dressed like they just came from Lava Lounge. Upstairs to the taxi, check in at Sukhumvt, quickly unpack the Trader Joes chocolates and nuts I bring for her friends, off to Soi 6 or Thonglor for some late Koi Teow or Nam Jim, back to the room for 24 hours (or if I come in early on JAL flight it's off to Lava), back to the room for a good f***ing, a long sleep, and more f***ing in the morning. We usually wake up around 1PM and off to Robinsons for some rice and curry and a chocolate eclair from Yamazaki. I have never broken that routine in the last 18 months. Damn I can't wait. Can't wait, 4 months and a few days countdown. Too long!!!!!

Hello all On arrival I usually start to mosy down to the customs counter slowly. I don't mind if I get behind a few others waiting in the line for the passport stamp. All worrys suddenly go poof outta my head and the Thai illusion will soon switch back on as soon has the customs person puts the stamp into the passport. By the time I get down to the baggage rack my bag is usually there and then the lines for the money exchange are gone. Mosy to the taxi line and jump in and say Manhatten hotal sukhumvit soi 15 please and off I go. After check in I go to the room shower change into clean clothes and go check out the the thermae. I don't no way but I always found my best GFE in that place I love it.

Can everyone remember there first taxi ride down Suk--with my head plastered to the window--I remember two TG's eating on the sidewalk and both gave me a wave. What a welcome and was never disappointed from that moment on. This forum is what keeps me out of severe depression. Please, need a fresh FR.

Reading this forum should depress me, but it doesn't. I can live vicariously through the FR's. Something I always liked in the LOS is the after hours seafood and beer sessions late into the night (with all my girls girlfriends and paid for by this farang). Boy can those girls eat... 1200 lunch 1600 pre dinner dinner 1900 actual dinner 2300 disco dinner 0230 late night dinner never up early enough for breakfast

For me it´s work to keep sane.. work, work, work as soon as I land in reality. It pays for my trips and all the fun I´m going to have next time ain´t it? Other than that I set up goals to work on. Gotta learn abouth 17th cent thai history, gotta loose ten pounds, gotta keep training the Thai language courses I got and so on.. Leaving LOS is never easy but spend your time wisely where ever you are because you only get to spend it once. Well, whatever I´m drunk...

Read the forum - definitely. Have lunch or dinner with some local BTF brothers and share experiences. Start planning your next trip right away - do a day-by-day dairy. Works for me - somewhat.......................... moke

I made a big mistake this time. I usually go to the gym on the way home from the airport and usually sched my flight so I am at the work the next day. Being on the tight budget I am I always have to go for the cheapest flight. This year it was Korean and the only returning day was Dec. 29. Last year I was able to come back on Jan. 3 and back to school (work) on the 4th. The week was rough (esp w/grad school M and W), but I was a find a few days. This time I was not back at work until the 3rd so I had those 4.5 days to sit on my ass at home and get really depressed. I tried something called Sleep Restore which is a mix of valerian and hops and I am getting back to normal. 80% of POST-LOS depression is psychological. Honestly, is there anyone here that gets LOS-arrival depression? I can see the logic of going to customs slowly. Eventhough I am usually the first one on my plane to hit customs, I usually end up waiting forever for my luggage. The last arrival flight was brutal. Don Muang is a small airport for its traffic. We all know where a plane gets to park at 120AM. That was the longest hike to customs. We parked so far away I thought we were in the Rangsit Mall parking alot. We should have just hopped the dufunk monorail. What a trudge, esp when I knew my hot LTGF was waiting for me on the other side of the Big Welcome To Thailand Wall after not seeing her for six months.

Brothers, I need to say it somewhere, and this thread seems appropriate. This time I'm really f***ed up. It was 8th tour and I thought I was getting tough to LOS and the depression upon leaving. But, getting too close to a TBG, getting to know some non P4P with real potential, some great nights out eating, drinking, partying with good friends from around the planet, even some karaoke (what!!) ; has made me think of nothing but landing in LOS. Hell, I can close my eyes and see the faces, taste the beer, and smell the women. I am reliving every moment, even earlier tours, and it's doing my head in. I know there is but one cure. I have a ticket in my drawer for November, and I just have to focus on work till then - easier said than done. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Seeya Boys, Liam
