hi.. I will be travelling to bangkok in late december with my wife, being my first trip I have a lot of questions.,. bangkok is known as a bachelors paradise,,,, I wanna know if it is advisable to take my wife to some of the clubs and pubs.. also I heard of these so called "couple massages", are these safe ?

No, they are not - they might steel your money... What question is this ? Use a condom though - for your money... If both of you are ready for this, you can have it in all ways...

I should not worry too much.
You can start with Nana Plaza. Plenty of bars, some open air, have a drink, look around, spot the other couples, get a feeling for the place.
If not your scene, move on, to next door.
Same at the massage places.
Bangkok is very laidback; I have found that even if you order a cup of coffee and then read your newspaper, you'll not be bothered. Even if a lady approaches you, she'll accept very gracefully to leave you alone if you ask.
Also, ask the mamasan's advice. Explain your, err, predicament, and she'll usually be willing to please.

do you want the massage room to fit you and your wife, or do you not mind if you're in separate rooms? there are a number of places (including some right on sukhumwit) that have simple curtain partitions...these can be moved aside, creating one large room out of two smaller...but these are often very traditional massages with very little intamacy between you and your spouse/loved one.
if you are looking for a little extra (gently rubbing of your wife provided her approval) then you'll have to go where they offer this overtly... but how does one find this? I would defer to the recommendations of others on this one...

But I would think it better to takeout the Masseuse. Have her come to your Hotel Room, that way you avoid ending up in a Crappy room (I'm not sure your wife will appreciate the Rooms at Centre33, Euro, Teen, Angels...) or if you really want to go to a Massage place, go to one of the Newer (cleaner) ones like Soho, Patou, Aviva.
Call in advance to make sure they will know exactly what to do and not create misunderstandings that could end up with you and your wife fighting
