Arriving into BKK on Saturday Feb 4th which I believe is the weekend of the general election.Will the bars be open on that Sat/Sun? I presume that the girls would prefer to be working rather than voting so will find a way to make themselves available.Any information would be appreciated.

General Election was held this year.

Don't mention it to any of the girls, they may be pissed off at being a year too late to vote.

For your future reference no alcohol is sold in Thailand during elections, bars may be open, but they cannot serve alcohol.

I was there during the Election this year. My annoyance at not being able to get a beer, was tempered by the fact that all the girls could not say the word election. Had a lot of fun talking about the "Big Erection" that was coming up.
