Hi On my last trip I had a (quiet) night at a small plaza opposite the Queen Hotel. I think that was the hotel name and I think the plaza was the Queens Plaza - Soi 22 (again I think - I was a bit pissed). It was v quiet just a few bars, a couple of pool tables and not many girls but I was after a quiet night with a mate who just wanted to drink and chat. Anyway, to the point - we had a great meal at a restaurant at the back of the plaza (quite large, open air but not too busy, to help you "recognise" it). I was waited on by what I took to be two sisters - they were really lovely girls, asking if they could speak English with me and as usual, smiling a lot. They really were two of the cutest things I have ever seen. Has anyone any experience of this place and if so has anyone ever asked the waitresses out? if so was it just a platonic thing or more "fun" - I ask as these two looked like butter wouldn't melt etc. I am not the shy type and tend to just ask but somehow it just didn't feel right if you know what I mean. let me know as I will eat there again next trip (Xmas & New Year) & may try my luck

Yeah, whitespider, you can't ask questions in the Newbie Forum with so many dots next to your name. I have eaten at this place a couple of times (if it's the same one you describe) but never asked out a waitress. Too close to home and aslo I was a bit of a newbie at the time. I do seem to recall once one of the guys there hinting to me that he could fix me up if I were so inclined, but I just shrugged it off. Just go for it next time. Ask them if they want some private one on one (or better yet, one on two) English instruction.
