Jack, you're right! But what I really need is this.... My friend stayed at the Nana hotel once and didn't go outside for 3 full days. He would pick up girls from the disco, girls in the lobby, girls in the elevator (on their way down after servicing their latest john), and once he even paid the bell boy to go out (with strict descriptions) and bring back a girl, as well as phone calls to previous girls who would come straight to his room. He also ate all his meals there.
Now THAT'S how I need to be rolling! If the rooms weren't such sh*tholes, I would set up shop there permanently and only leave to go to Tulips.

Today, sure it would still be attractive. Happily set with Mrs. Minder now the belief of never having (needing) another LT or ST doesn't bother me. Lots of other things in LOS I enjoy. Food, beer, climate....err Angelwitch will still be open for observers, right?
That said, the idea of not being "able" to ever have another LT or ST should I want one is unappealing. Someone on here once noted that it actually makes it easier to be faithful when alternatives are so readily available.
Equally I wonder - since it was Stickman’s early writings that got me to LOS - would I get on the plane that 1st time without that incentive?

Was at CP2 the other day and took a girl from the fishbowl. She comes out, sees me and seems excited at the prospect. We go to the room and she is ga-ga over me, I am liking this because she is pretty hot and I could see this relationship going to the next level (her coming to my room whenever I want instead of me making the trek to CP2 every time).
Alas, a starfish in bed so that plan is one-and-done and I want to bolt as soon as I can. She has other plans and wants to meet later tonight, hang out and go shopping/eating the next day, etc and asks for my number. I couldnt be bothered so I give her a fake # and take off...
Imagine that, ME actually being the one that gives out a fake phone number!!!
That's when it hits me, I am finally back in LOS!!!

For me this time it was at the airport. Getting off my flight from the Uk I was desperate for a dump and must have looked into the 1st 3 or 4 toilets on the way from the plane to the immigration desk and found them all occupied. Despair was setting in as my need increased.
Finally I found what I thought was a little visited toilet as all the cubicles were empty. This little gem is on the right after the last moving walk way just before you turn left for immigration. At the moment its hidden away behind an advertisement and the signs are not as easy to see as for the other toilets, so its difficult to spot unless you approach it from the right direction/angle.
It hit me that I was in the Land of smiles again as I sat and relaxed while depositing my in-flight meals into the BKK sewage system. The thing that made me realise I was back in LOS was the size of the toilet pan - it was very small and close to the ground. It reminded me of the little toilets I sat on when I was a small child at my first school.
These toilets were built with little people in mind. These were Land of Smiles toilets. I was back.
This time the trip to LOS was more importnat for me than other times. The move is permanent for Mrs Shreddie and I. She's still going strong, fighting her long term illness with two "all clear" scans. The house in the village has been finished for 2 or 3 years. My work situation changed. So we decided to make the move.
So when that "I'm back" moment happened to me this time it was very special. I will always remember that airport dump.
