For years the fishbowl has been the center and attraction of an MP.
Actually, in history, most MPs had glass which was transparent on only one side. The customers could see the girls, not the other way around. But a lot of MPs have changed it to two way glass so that girls and customers can interact with each other.

If you mean the one-way see-thru glass, not many these days, if any at all; I was hoping for it in my newbies days as well, but never found any. Not to worry though, most of the times there will be more punters looking for a girl in the establishment, so you will not be the single focal point of all the lovelies behind the glass. Have a seat and a drink and take your pick. On the rare occasion where you'll be the only customer in the house, this can indeed be a bit intimidating, just flash a smile, see who's reacting, and again, take your pick. Or walk out and take a taxi to the next parlor.

Personally, I don't thnk it has anything to do with management promoting more interaction between the girls and the customers. I may be wrong.
The present day two-way glass installations may have something to do with the cost of replacement being a fraction of the price of one-way glass.
Annies' one-way glass sized window is smaller and less costly to replace. Presumably, since the place is smaller and has less traffic than the big ones, there have been less occasions when it has needed replacement.
I just blame the green newbies fresh off the plane, unable to control themselves or their ejaculate which so often has led to breakages.
I've often noticed in places like Chao Paya 2 and 3 and fishbowls along the Ratchada and Petchburi strips, while I've been gloating through the two-way, looking for a three-way, that the girls inside the fishbowl are in very bright light and are usually watching TV, manicuring their nails, reading the Encyclopedia Brittanica or Webster's Dictionary ( to strike a balance there for seajohn ), using their mobile phones or just chatting and laughing with one another, while the customer area is usually kept in semi-gloom anyway or at least darkened so that the vulnerable amongst us might not feel too intimidated by being examined by 50 or 80 pairs of female eyes.
I always have the urge to climb in there and join them, but not being alowed that privilege, I ask a few to come out to me so that I may make my choice or choices face to face.
I recognise the reluctance of some to have a confrontational setting when choosing.
But when you go to places for a oily and you ask to have all the girls line up before you or you are led into a completely crowded room full of girls waiting for a customer, there is a certain pleasure and rush of the blood that is unique to that experience.
