Well what can I say, been reading threw the forums, and wow a lot of info!! A couple things that I have missed though is about a escort/or a TG for a few days. What is some normal rates for one? Its my first time, and I was thinken about getting a gal that knew her way around and some info on some sights and good english. I know being a farang I will pay more, but I don’t want to get scalped!My experience in traveling in tourist areas... "1000 pounds for a special rock my friend".. Anyone in the middle east will know what I mean.
So this is my idea.... 10-12 days, book a hotel for first 2 nights, get a escort to help get orientated as well, then go by ear. I know annies and eden will be musts, but reading prices, and talking to some people there seems to be some difference. Some friends said that you can get 2 ladies with a bath for 1000 baht.... And any recommendations on escorts/TG’s or what need be? Maybe even a airport pickup, and nice massage to get relaxed…. that be some sweet! I know some of these questions have been asked, and probably answered and I have read a lot looking, but for escorts it lists the sights with no prices, id like to get some price ranges before I do, or recommendations for options.
Anyhow not to get sidetracked, does that sound like a good plan, book for 2 days then go where looks cool? Will I still get raped for $ being a farang walking into another hotel off the street? Whats a normal price range for 10 ish days, I don’t want to break the bank, but still have fun…. And any ideas on how to maximize the fun and sight seeing?
I want this to be as fun and spontaneous as I can, and if I stay the whole time in bkk so be it, but at least be open if not. Maybe even meet up with some ppl from here for a mini RT to help me out. Still waiting on tickets.

When are you going?
You don't need to hire an escort - too expensive and many TGs easily available. Since this is your first trip, I suggest staying at a hotel on Sukhumvit (e.g., Majestic suites). Depending on your preference, you can go to NEP for go go bar girls, Beer Garden 7, Nana disco, CM2 for FLs, MPs like Darlings or Annies. Of course, there are a bunch of other bars as well and Soi Cowboy. With all the info available here including maps, it should be no problem. You won't get ripped off because you are a farang.

FM is right, by the way. CDN's are looked down upon in LOS. The TBG's think CDNs are too cheap to be ATMs so they avoid them and abuse them when possible.

Ditch the escort.
Good idea to book a hotel for a few days in advance, then decide where to stay once you do some recon. You might want to stay near Suk, PP, the river--who knows until you give it a try and decide what you like.
Make sure you include a few days in Pattaya.
