I had a look in the Central department store in Chidlom and the choice was actually very limited.
I was looking for a pullover with zipper and I found one eventually but the prices were in the 2000-3500 tHB range, so as expensive as at home.
Hardly any winter coats to be found.

There's a place at the back of the Ploenchit Centre on the ground floor where I saw some smart looking parkas and down filled jackets last month. Reasonable prices. They have lots of other clothes so I'm sure you could find some stuff there to keep you warm in Toronto. I'm back next month and planning to go there to look for a smart casual lined or down jacket to keep out Canadian winter.
