Hi I am stopping in Bangkok for about 14 hours before going to Phuket and the Similans.. I would like to buy an Olympus wide angle lens for my digital camera. I will be going to the BKM?? (the mall) anyway. Are there any really good stores that would have stuff like that? Any other suggestions?
Also you could try out the MBK Plaza, They have 2 SONY stores that sell all the SONY stuff with bill (so that you can get the VAT refund from the Airport upon leaving bangkok) Also on my last visit I saw a couple of shops at the Fortune IT Mall selling SONY Memory stick. I did not inquire whether thay had the digital cameras or not, But you could always try them out.
