I have an Index crash helmet, but the largest they make fits too tight. My thai-made Honda Phantom motorcycle is a bit underpowered for a heavy bike, but can still do 130 kph. I like to drive fast and usually just use the bike lane as a passing lane. A few weeks ago, a guy in a pickup truck decided to turn into a Shell station without bothering to look. THANKS A LOT, FELLA! Fortunately, all I can remember is being helped into the ambulance, but my back and ribs are still very sore. I'll be in Bangers this weekend and was hoping someone could recommend a shop with a good supply of farang-sized motorcycle helmets. I've UTFSE, but came up empty. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Try up in Ratchadapisek Road just beyond the main MP area, I think a couple of minutes walk past Poseidon. There is 2 or 3 large Motorcycle Clothing & Accessory dealers.

Thanks for the tip, Oz. And a good excuse to go to Poseidon (for some massage therapy for my back)

I don't want to lecture you, but you wrote it yourself... Kind of a contradiction, hugh? You do have to expect things like this in Thailand... Not the right country for going real fast with a bike. Everybody relies on anybody else to do exactly what anybody does: driving crazy but in a "compatibel" way... the occasional collateral damage with bikes included... I doubt you can get a farang sized helmet here. I even have a hard time in Farangland with my size. Consider buying online... The ratchada address is a good start though, they're well sorted...
