Hi,
Would like to know if these luxury watches are best bought in Bangkok or not?
Is it cheaper in Bangkok?
Last time I saw it to be more expensive than HongKong atleast.
Please let me know what you think.

Depending on when you are in town there are some "watch expo's" that have some good prices. Also a friend of mine bought a nice Breitling at Duty Free, he said it was 20% less than anywhere else had been.

There is a 200% duty on luxury imports, so very unlikely you will find a bargain.

Back in 93 or 4 I bought a Rolex in the Emporium with the tax back at the airport I thought is was a good deal. I think it was about $4k saw the same watch in Heathrow duty free at £4k recently.

I think Singapore is a better place to buy these luxury timepieces.
I'm a watch dealer and from what I've seen recently, prices for 'brand new' luxury timepieces are cheaper in Singapore as compared to HK or BKK.

IAW, BKK Runner, he says if you want a good deal on a luxury watch, fly through Belgium. Best prices he has seen and he has been quite a few places. Something about low or no luxury / tarrif tax on those items.
