Has anyone used this tailor shop on the Suk, a block down from SGS? Walked by yesterday and the official looking certificates in the window suggest that they use Genuine fabrics. Okay, that's a good start. Fitting, workmanship, etc are now in question. BTW, my sense is that it's ultimately better (cost wise and quality) to buy in the states off the rack, with "on sale" or discounted prices, and then have the alterations done properly. This, or any other shop here in BKK would have to be highly recommended for me to take the chance. So....

I used it for a jacket pants and shirts. This was a couple years ago. I know I could have got the stuff cheaper in the States, as it wasn't cheap by my standards, but I really enjoyed the whole experience. It was neat to see stuff made from nothing, and they did a great job. The whole thing took 5 days I think and each of those days I had to go back for a fitting of some sort or another. Because I don't wear lots of fancy cloths I probably will not be going back, but if I was into that stuff, I would return.
