Guys, at long last I am making the move from HK to LOS this coming weekend and other than getting laid and pissed I also need to get some shirts made. Can anyone give me an idea of the cost for a decent hand made tailored shirt??? I have been recommended Boss Tailors - any views???

Whatever tailor ..... make sure you don't part with your money before seeing and trying on the final product.
Try to make your deposit as small as possible ... even better try to negotiate no deposit at all......
If you're not satisfied about negotiation, move to another one ....

i had some excellent quality work done at narry's...the store about five blocks away from nana...sorry don't remember the exact street...i think it was down suk 7.
i had 3 suits made out of the best quality wool/cashmere mix for $650. 3 suits and 4 shirts.
it was finished and ready for pick up within 3 days.
i would definately recommend them.
the ad in the airplane magazine listed 3 suits + 3 shirts for $200, which is what drew me in to the store. but the quality of the fabric wasn't all that great, so when i saw the good stuff, that's all i needed!
good service.

Yes, probably been to the same store re the add in airoplane magazine and agree, average quality materials.
Do you have any recommendations for tailors for Shirts in the Sukhumvit area. I only have 24 hours to measure and make. Looking for good silk and light cotton (no or little ironing) materials. They will all tell you no or little ironing and then the f_ckers wrinkler like a 60 year old thai p..........
Looking for one who knows his materials and can trust?

Ive tried Rajah's which is JUST outside the entrance to NEP. Got lots of cards plastered all over...FBI, DEA, Marines, Diplomats etc.
But the guy is a very smooooooth talker. Insist on him cutting a strip of material and stapling it to your order to be sure you're getting the same cloth you picked.
Griffin recommends a tailor called Narin between soi 10 and 12 on the main Sukhumvit road but i havent yet checked it out.
There was quite a bit of caht on this subject which you should be able to find by running a search.

I've been using Royal Tailors on the corner of Sukhumvit soi 3 for over 10 years. I certainkly wouldn't call myself a great customer, but I always get the service and quality I require and if there is ever a problem it does get sorted.
The owner can be quite generous, even ordered pizza's when a fitting was taking a long time.
