Anyone know of a decent cycle shop in BKK? I am looking for a pair of Shimano shoes. Preferably somewhere near the skytrain as I don't fancy the taxi option around town.

All the main central shopping centres have a sports department with plenty of bike gear. Central ChitLom seems to be the biggest and is at the bts. If that is not good enough, you can try a specialised bike shop, they have only bikes and cross country stuff. It is opposite Lumpini park in I think what is called Suan Luang, the Ratchadamri bts is nearby and you can walk back to this street. The only way I know to give directions, is if you travel from Rama 4 along Wireless road and take the first left, then about 3/4 off the way down that street before you hit the next main street, a 'T' intersection, the shop is on the right hand side. That 'T' intersection is the street where ratchadamri bts is, I think. Sorry, just get a friggin taxi and it will cost you 40/50 baht.

Cheers NM. I think the bike shop you are on about is called Probike (I found it on an obscure net article). Lumpini is near enough for me so I shall try both Central & Probike as you say. I will be in BKK this w/end and I hope to get in some quality 'riding'.
