humbug
Can anyone recommend the best language schools around for learning Thai.

I need convenience to either the skytrain or the subway stations.

I need private lessons not group.

There are various teaching schools and methods around. I would like to get some first hand recommendations from people that have actually learnt at these places before starting.

Some teachers are not good as others and I experienced this once before with an idiot that could not teach and was a complete waste of time and money.

Hope someone can help.

I haven't used school but hired a teacher who was pretty good. She charged 3000 baht for 10 hours I think, which is a reasonable price and she comes to your place. If u want her contact details email me.

Can try Inlingua. They have several branches in BKK. Chitlom would be a good one if you want one on the Skytrain line.

They'll have Thai teachers for private lessons. Not sure of the cost though.

Hey Bug,

Some time ago, I used Somchart Thai language school. I think
others on this forum have also used the school. it is located
very close to the Asoke BTS on Soi 19 and they provide 1-on-1
thai language instruction (reading and speaking). I found
it very good. I don't know if they are still in business. You might
want to "google" for their website.

Inlingua seems like total crap or at least only for the one happy with the very basic stuff according 4 levels described on their web!!
