yes, good Doctor, that's probably better / more conversational... I decided to include the theung in kid-theung probably because i've heard the foodland radio ad (kid-theung ahhaan, kid-theung foodland) too many times.
I don't think a dictionary would even help in trying to answer TonsilBasher's question.

Those sound about right actually, although I think a "Kid" with a "theung" would be akin to missing someone ("kidtheung ter thuk wan"). Thanks for the info anyhow.

yes, the most common usage of "kidtheung" is in situations where the best English translation would be "to miss someone".. e.g. "kidtheung baan", "kidtheung mae".. miss home, miss mommy, etc..
however, what kidtheung literally means is "think about", or "thoughts reaching something/someone" (kid - to think, theung - reach) and can be used in less romantic, more everyday situations as well, like the Foodland slogan I quoted in my earlier post: "kidtheung ahhaan, kidtheung foodland", which is "when you think about food, think about foodland", not "miss food, miss foodland".

O yes..."neuk" is another phrase I've heard (neuk kab khrai?). Need to spend more time at LOS in between Thai lingo lessons..if I can ever find the time to go for one.

A slight quibble with your translation, DrLove. The sound a cash register makes is "cha-ching" not "ching ching" -- unless you are implying that while walking on a secluded beach at sunset, holding hands and whispering sweet nothings to each other, my TG and I are pushing a food cart.
