na and ja are informal, na can be used to tell you about something (mee tong na, I have money) or to suggest something (gin beer na, you should drink beer)
ja at the end is also making it informal (u nigh ja, where are ya').
Let me guess... "Don't forget me naja"

it's sort of like saying alright at the end of a sentence

Surely money would be transliterated as tang?
also when they use tang for money the ang is said as a short vowel when saying sataang as in 100 sataang equals one baht it is said with a long vowel.
Thoong as in gold (the oo pronounced as an or sound)
is quite different to my ears at least.
anyway as I understand it na is used in roughly 4 situations as well as the yokesters example
1. to indicate something is to be done again
2. to say please
3. to make a statement an order
4. to ask if you think the same, (issarn girls are ugly na)

Na is a particle on the end of sentences meant to be persuasive and to invite agreement.
Ja, is also as LY mentions though not necessarily as intimate as we might think of 'darling'; mostly informal (naturally) as CG mentions, and can also be used in informal situations as an affirmative between friends (especially if at least one of the parties is female; a heterosexual man usually doesn't say it to a man, though females may to each other and females to men and vice versa are A OK).

I too like the double consonant rendering of dt for dtor dtow (as in turtle) because a pure T, aspirated or not, from English just doesn't have enough tongue on the roof of the mouth.
