I think these figures are way off - a secretary in our company get's 13 - 15 K if she is lucky. 17 - 20K is about the sallary of an chemist (with a university degree)
another example: nurses with degrees from chulalongkorn may earn around 10 to 15 K
I really think that 25K for a secretary is a very rare case, I never came across one who was earning that much.

That really sounds a bit much, well, we are a thai company but still, 35,000? Well, could well be but as I said these cases must be very rare. And in thailand about anyone who works in an office seems to have an uni degree, the questions is, what kind of degree? wouldn't think that anyone with an Masters degree works as secretary 
But then, I guess there is never an answer to these kind of questions that would satisfy everybody as every case is different. But taking into vonsideration that a doctors sallary (like fresh from uni or in an government hospital) will not reach 35,000 for a few years after graduation - she gotta be amongst the best paid secretaries in the counrty I would say. A firend of my wife from university now works at the Princess Maha Chakri Medical Center in Pathum Thani (Klong 16) - he graduated from Srinakahrins University Medical School 2 years ago. He earns 29,000 Baht.
I think it is really a big difference if you work for a thai company nor one of the multis maybe.

My university-educated, (pretty good) English speaking secretary makes 14-15K per month. She is in her early 30s.

35k for a Secretary is a very huge salary, very very rare in LOS and offered only to a great executive secretary, the right arm of a CEO!
The going rate is 9-15 for an avarage/freshy, 15-20 for an experienced, 20-25 for a top tier.
I know one of the employees of Regus (serviced offices in All Season Place) who speaks nearly perfect English, great in PC etc etc...her salary is 25k, just to underline the given figures....

Err, I work at Regus and I think that there is only a few of the people that fits that bill.
Seriously though,
Network Engineer, CCNA MCSE around 25,000 is what I am paying for in Thailand right now.
Now looking for Security Engineers that can handle firewalls etc, that is challenging, the ones that came across are askiing for 35k onwards...
