the number has changed to
08444 629629, and calls cost now 2p per minute.
Still a good deal since TG moved to live with me in UK, and she calls home every day.
Connection usually seems much better in mornings.

There are quite a few companies still only charging the 1p per minute rate from the UK to a Thai mobile.

The line quality is variable and some of them struggle with call volumes on the weekend but at 1p per minute you can't really go wrong.

Those 1p rates are listed here. If you want to have phone calls in the UK for just a connection charge of 2p/3p and ability to talk for unlimited time thereafter for 0p per minute, look at the National Calls section on that site.
