I've just spent 4 days in Bangkok last month. Excluding airfare, I've spent ~B28,000 on accomodations and ~B40,000 on everything else (that includes girls, sightseeing, meals, etc.).
Nowhere close to Expatchuck though.

Just the opposite 
Trips are 16 or 23 days 3 or 5 times a year and I spend well a lot 
+ I tend to buy all my toys in Thailand.
I am on holiday and I don't have to count the pennies as I have a reasonable job with a reasonable pay and no real committments.
If I go out to play I can drop what some of you guys like to spend in a day on lady drinks. 
Trip to eden never 2 always at least 3,  Soapies also at least 2,  I have been known before the shutdown to take 5 up stairs in SC bar and thats not cheap.
Anyone for a beer?

i normally go for 6 to 7 weeks in jan/feb. I try to take 140,000 baht ( £2,000) for the trip, im budgeting around 3500 a day. this includes everything but I try to not pay more than 650 baht for a room. and this includes going into laos and vietnam. £460 for a return flight to birmingham england via dubai. if I get freebies I put the money aside for top qualty pussy

I just returned from 32 days including side trip to Cambodia ( ahhh got to LOVE that place!!).
I spent average 4,000 BHT per day inclusive of hotels but not including airfares,,, I choose not to quote in US Dollars,,,, it is approx 135 AUD per day,, lots of fun,, lots to eat drink etc etc. Included shopping for clothes, presents etc etc etc.
P.S I know it is off topic but Siam Beverley is the best "value for money" hotel I have stayed in BKK.

had my best trip last trip, and spent like a man with no arms......went with 5,000 AUD and came home with 3000 bht......didnt buy a single present except 4 singha beer singlets for Ledge.
