Wondering if some of you guys are using internet based companies to take care of your offshore biz, offshore companies registration?? Which ones are reliable ??
Any experience with icsl and the delaware company.com??
They seem to have much cheaper fees than companies located in Luxembourg with offices in Paris but how trustable are they?

i can only speak for myself and my own experience. I am dealing with HSBC and they have proposed that I register all my companies in Singapore. There are more exotoc choices......Mauritius for example but u might have billing problems because it is all just TOO exotic! I am working this all through the bank.....safe and easy if more expensive. I just believe to take risks is dumb. I am also being advised to re-domicile to Thailand to take advantage of preferential tax rates.

If you are from the UK then you need to be out of the UK for 17 of the past 20 years before a change in domicile status will even be considered.
Even then the only advantage would be if, as a non-domicile, you currently have substantial overseas income that is being taxed abroad. At present, as a non-Thai domicile you are only taxed on overseas earnings if they are remitted here. Some double taxation treaties complicate this but that's the basic position.

Billing source is an issue, hence I need an office in HK. Still one can first open an account in a more exotic location where the director's name remains secret and then register a branch in HK. Sure a few guys on this board are into those set ups, hope some will give some positive input.
A¨bout HSBC, I'm dealing with one of their branches in France to follow my local activities but they already find it a bit dodgy, dunno how it'll look if I ask them to set up offshore companies. Still a good idea and will try a couple of their branches over here.

HSBC (Singapore) handles all of my companies' finance issues. Whenever there a problem, they correct it in short order.
I like Singapore as a place to base my business, the taxes are reasonable and the banking secrecy laws rival those of Switzerland...

I am not in UK and haven't been for years so domicile change is fine for me. HSBC are very good and I deal with them in Switzerland. Need I say more?!!! As for dodgy, it is nothing to do with being dodgy or illegal, rather the potential perception of being dodgy. Money laundering regulations make business more and more difficult, except for the money launderers of course!

Try somebody like Sovereign Trust or Grant Thornton in Hong Kong. Use a BVI Company (cheaper, no filing requirements). They will handle all your company issues plus accounting and banking (through HSBC or SCB usually).

OK,
HSBC has the favours of many of you guys and is basically buying LOTS of banks in France. Yet the bankers working there are still french and follow french law (a crime in itself)
Anybody has experience dealing with continental EU HSBC offices for those matters?? Are they able to help?
