On the odd occasion when expat clients do not settle a bill, I have the need for a debt collector. Is there such a thing in Thailand? Anybody used one?

kenneth,, my experience suggests it is NOT worth the effort unless we are talking a substantial amount of money, small debts say 50,000BHT are more trouble than they are worth to collect.
How does the good book say : Neither a borrower nor a lender be". Impracticle these days but if offering credit I suggest you at least have some form of liquid security.

Why not go ask TPE?
He may be able to provide some 'inside' information on your clients to rethink their absent mindedness.

We often have to resort to unconventional tactics but it can get messy, and it ain't cheap!
As MG said "it is NOT worth the effort unless we are talking a substantial amount of money, small debts say 50,000BHT are more trouble than they are worth to collect."
I would even go as far as to double that amount to 100,000 THB.
Any debt less than 100k is just not worth our effort...
