Went to an MP the other night and was informed that costs are +100baht more due to the "entertainment" tax being implemented. Now the cheerguest that I deal with is as "trustworthy" as a glorified pimp could be.
Seriously, I take his suggestions with a grain of salt, but he's pretty much reliable on reserving specific girls for me. So I'm wondering if the entertainment tax that I read about several weeks back has been implemented already or am I getting another BS surcharge, albeit minimal.

Don't worry it wasn't another BS surcharge.
In fact the price increase was implemented on 1st March when I was at Copa mp and same apply to all the Davis group mp, not too sure about the others.

Yep, we have to live with it guys....B/.100 tax should be added to the normal price at many MPs nowadays. Confirmed the info on the adjusted price at EVITA. I can add J1 to the list. However, Monalisa didn't implement this yet.

Yep, B/.100 is too small to be a surcharge. Surcharge to farangs pf B/.500 is common at several MPs i.e. CUPIDY, EVITA and BIWA while a surcharge at EMMANUEL can be 1K in all cases. Same case I saw at POSEIDON, where an extra B/.500 had to be paid over the regular fishbowl TGs price.
There are some Massage Parlors that tip taxi drivers and expect to pay at least B/.500 more than other customer that just walk in.

Interesting. new about the charges and luckily so far, I have not been charged it.
I've also heard that Mirage charges a farlang surcharge, as well as pays the taxi drivers a comission on each patron they bring to the establishment.
Can you help comfirm or deny this, since I'm not 100% sure?? Thanks.
