Hi,
When people describe somewhere as being 'farang-friendly' what do they mean exactly? I take it for granted 'non- farang friendly' means the soapy establishment will try to fleece extra baht out of us caucasians (like its not as if the Japs can't/won't pay that bit extra). However, is a place so un-farang friendly that a papa san will ask you to leave/ give you the cold shoulder treatment if you walk through the door?
I'm just curious if any bro's out there have experienced this or if they've selected a girl from the bowl only for her to refuse to go with them (for whatever reason) ?
I haven't (but I guess only because i've gone to confirmed farang friendly places).

I have heard there are MPs that cater to the Thai's only others have a two teir pricing policy which some may feel is unfreindly???
I have only made the odd visit to soapies, spending most of my time at Barons, Sanzanka and others alone Sukhumvit and never had a problem.

I used to not welcomed in some Motels around Pratunam and Chinatown areas.
But MP, you will just be somehow ignored by the papasan.
I heard Riviera is not very welcoming for farangs.

When I was still in awe of Los and thought all Thais loved us, I visited Hat Yai and was most disgrunted to be "ignored" or told to "Bai ! " from several MP's that catered for Malay/Muslim clientele.

Yes Bok Han, I guess it might be a bit of a shock to find you're not as welcome as you would expect!
I don't know if I would call it racism, but having travelled and lived in Asia you get used to being treated quite differently because of your skin color, however good your language skills may or may not be.
Has anyone ever selected a girl from the bowl though only to have her refuse to go with you? If so what have been her reasons - is it because they believe all non-farangs have huge willies which they think will be too painful or is it more subtle than this?
Interested to hear any bro's experiences.

My first experience with denial by working girls is detailed in the field report linked below. Neither of these were technically fishbowl girls, but close enough IMO. As for appendage size being the issue, I have my doubts. The girls who seem to make the biggest deal out of my size have always been those who have accepted my business. I think any talk about size is either BS or simply given as some sort of ego boost. In any case I've yet to come across any working girl that truly had any difficulty with my size. Just remember, no matter how big you are they've probably had bigger. Not a very pleasent thought really. Other folks have made references to 'farang smell' and various other possiblities. All I know is that if I were somehow in the same boat as these girls I would be a lot more picky than they usually are. Heh.

Obviously I can only guess what the real issue was, but here goes.
Regarding Poseidon...
There were several issues stacked against me. I was showered but not clean-shaven. I was wearing shorts instead of trousers. I could not speak Thai and my chosen girl could not speak English (in Ratchada, you're more likely to find girls who can speak Japanese than English). I had plenty of cash in my pocket, but I didn't I look the part. I'm also very large compared to Thai girls. I'm not obese or fat, but I don't exercise. I was not drunk, or otherwise obnoxious, but there was a bit of a dispute over the bar tab prior to heading upstairs to look over the girls.
It was also beginning to hit the high season, so the girls had more options available to them. This was especially the case in Poseidon, where almost all the girls were already taken by the time I arrived. Also, Poseidon is on Ratchadapisek, which is not a typical farang hangout. In fact, we were the only farangs there that I could see, and I have read more than a few stories of farangs getting denied in this area, so it's always a risk.
Regarding Baccarra...
Baccarra is located on Soi Cowboy, which is of course a major farang hang out, but there are some peculiarities about this place. I think you have to see it to understand. In any case, it's hard for me to complain that I was truly declined here. It was more like brushed-off. In fact, I was offered a chance to BF every girl I spoke with, even by the one who was the least interested in me.
If I had been willing to accept the initial asking price, I imagine that I could have had virtually any girl in the place. But I've learned long ago that if you try to have fun with girls who are not into it, you're only hurting yourself. So, I suppose this is not quite the same thing as flat-out denial. Still, compared to my last trip where nearly everything I touched turned to gold, this was quite a departure from my expectations.
While there, I spoke with another chap who explained that in his opinion Baccarra was best used for a little drinking and a lot of fondling but that take away girls were best found elsewhere. It's up to all of us to do our own research and find what we like best, but I think this guy had the right attitude. If they give an inch, take a mile. And if you still 'can't get no satisfaction,' try again elsewhere.
That's about all I can offer.

I've been turned down in Korat by (fishbowl girl), Singapore and China. In China I was told by my Chinese GF (for threesome) that some girls thought all westerners were too big. This sometimes appears to be a stereotype some of the girls have.
