KK, well, I have been using my credit card for over 3 years at various MPs, Karaokes, gogo-bars which no problems. My only problems were with some hosting and marketing websites.
If you are worried about the credit card, may I suggest using a debit card, that way, you minimize your loss, in case of fraud, or just bring a wad of cash with you.
Normally you get just one shot with the girls. That's their obligatory round with you. If they are up to it, obviously you girl wasn't, you could get two rounds, after which they will expect an extra tip of 500-1000 B.
My usual haunt is Plaza, and though I have had a couple of duds, most were memorable. The girls there don't seem to mind 2-3 rounds, if you are up to it.

Sorry, BK, but I think using a debit card is a rotten idea. I assume you mean an ATM card linked to your bank account?
I hate the idea of anyone directly accessing my funds. At least with a credit card it's not your money until you pay the bill. With a debit card, that cash is gone, and if it's a fraudulent transaction, good luck ever getting it back, expecially from a Thai bank.

Yes, in a way... but I was thinking of a separate card where you could just put in say US$ 500... but you are right, a fraudent charge and the money's gone.

AND, most credit cards have some type of bonus rewards for using the card. Cash back, airline/hotel mileage points, etc.... Earning bonus cash/credits while sanuking is the only way to go...

Yea that is a big reason using my credit card would be so great. Get miles for having fun!! I am flying back to BKK on a free ticket. It is on NWA and for those that posted that you cannot get one on NWA I did? I think it is just like any popular destination you need to book WAY in advance. I actually got it on a "sale" and it cost me a few thousand less miles than it usually does!

Thanks for the Posiedon info guys, I am definitely going to have soapy slide there. Having checked earlier posts and BKs excellent tip I am going for the Super, that is 2,200+ 1,000 farang surcharge.
If I decide to go for the Sandwich will I be charged
2,200+1,000+2,200+1,000=6,400?
Not sure if it is worth 6,400 or just have a single Super and put the other money towards Eden.
Any tips welcome.
