How far is this place from lower Sukhumvit ?
Are taxi drivers generally familiar with this IDA ? Is that a Thai name for the place rather than IDA ?

Take Rachada (opposite Asoke) and go over the Klong Toey Bridge and keep going... and keep going... Go up the flyover leading to Central Rama 3... pass that and u turn round... It's past there but in general area. It is far. It is in Yannawa.
Ida is the name. Don't know if Taxi guys from Suk will know it. Maybe.

If you take the expressway by taxi from the National Stadium end of Sukhumvit, or even Ratchada or Ploenchit and ask for Sapuradit Road, keep your eyes peeled after you pass the Chan Road exit because the next slip-road off the expressway is for Satupradit and just before you sweep down to the ground level, you will, at night get an eye-full of the Ida massage and Entertainment place in glowing neon beckoning you to slip off the slip-road and slip inside.
Alternatively, you can travel on to Satupradit Road and as it crosses the main road that you are on, take a left turning and travel up Satupradit towards Chan, but take the Soi 20 turn off.
Down the end of the soi, take a right.
Then a left.
Road turns to the right.
Take the immediate left.
And travel straight on down that narrow soi until you are just about to cross under the expressway.
Take a left.
It's practically on that corner.
Enjoy.
A little expensive for me.
Been in for a few beers on occasion over the years.
Was there some time ago when they had the swimming pool with the girls bathing in the middle of the bar.
Pool eventually leaked.
It's drained and full of plants now.

Owned by an old Thai-Chinese bloke. ( Surprise ! Surprise ! ) Very pleasant. Engaged me in conversation on my first evening and had to apologise to me because I found that I had had no time for a massage and had to go. The next one was free.
My first visit was at about 11 a.m. on a religious holiday and they weren't open yet. But these girls let me in since they lived on site and security was already in place.
A very nice half Burmese, half farang girl. Beautiful skin. Lovely eyes. And she was goiing back the Burma the next day. Gave me the two hours and more and was up for everything, which was a surprise to me in a Thai place. But that was years ago, and as a brother has posted above,, the prices are not the same now.

Joe Wood, that Ida girl sounds better the more I read about her. Ah, if only time could be turned back just a few years... Yes, it is more expensive now; I listed the prices I was quoted in my link to my encounter there on the previous page last August (my God time HAS flown) : 1600, sideline 1900.
Maybe her influence lives on...
