- sad to say I'm more cynical than ever these days, current rate would be lucky if 1 out of 5 girls checked out, is being totally loyal ; however, remember first no government handouts here, very few girls get anything in a divorce/split, and if you are or had a good time .... well - you probably got more value for your $ than if you had invested in Enron ! What does worry me of late, as I've posted elsewhere, is the number of seemingly high class Thai women, in their 30's, who are getting millions of baht from older farangs for property/business deals etc. - which makes the average donation to an MP girl seem minor ; As a wise old guy once told me ;

its easy for me to have non-working girls as girlfriend since i have assimilated myself with Thai society (upto some degree) with my 8 years's stay in thailand. i'm Asian and look like thai and its been an advantage for me on several occasions.
1. thais could be comfortable as easily since we have same features
2. when some thai is annoying me i just speak plainİenglish and tell them i don't understand what they'reİsaying (even if i do) and thats the end of the conversation.
3. non-working thai girls are very friendly. having an english speaking friend or boyfriend which look like them gives them good status amongst their peers.
4. they can be with me anytime without giving others an impression of being a bar girl
5. never i have been turned down when i invite someone for dinner - although naturally it doesn't lead to sex but bf/gf relationship can be achieved if i want to
6. i can be in "foreigner" or "local" mode that make situations to my advantage
