Well, *clears throat*, I'm an idiot. Or maybe my eyes are slowing down as I creep into middle age. But the place has absolutely NOTHING flash on the outside to distinguish it. The sign that's perpendicular to the building is too high up and too dark to notice at night. But if you look carefully at the front of the building (it's a single width shop-house deal) you will find it; about 15 paces in on the right side from Soi 5.
Yah, anyhow the small old mamsan speaks good English. Speaks English goodly. Whatever. She was nice and pretty straight forward. I got the usual probing -- Is it your first time here? -- and if I hadn't known the price up front and said so (800 baht), she might have pulled a fast one or not. We'll never know now, will we?There's also an older, fatter mamasan but I had no dealings with her; I only saw her when I was on my way out.
A Heineken set me back a mere 60 baht. Small mamasan also asked me if I wanted to buy the lady a drink after I'd made my "choice" but I declined telling her I'd tip the lady directly based on the quality of the experience though I'd buy the lady water or juice if she was thirsty. Mamasan didn't press the point, the lady was not thirsty, everything was cool.
I quoted the word "choice" above because three ladies available at 6PM does not constitute much choice. In column A you had a fat girl, in column B two high-mileage types with nice figures. I took the one with the less pretty face because experience has taught me too well that the thing I think I want most is almost always a bad choice.
It's a contrarian strategy, you could look it up even, but it's become one of the basic rules I've taken to heart about the scene. It's a pretty short list:
1) Always go with your second choice.
2) Something will always go wrong.
3) Have a back-up plan so the whole night doesn't go in the shitter.
4) NEVER do ANYTHING against the collective wisdom of the BKK-Tonite board.
You walk up at least one flight of steps to get to the rooms so heart patients take something for that angina before you go in.
There's no plumbing in the rooms as each floor shares a common bathroom (shower and toilet) among its two or three service rooms. This means that unless you're carrying a rucksack (backpack) or money belt, your stuff will stay in the room while you're getting washed. I can live with that but I know some others are more security conscious.
Towels were clean and thick, rooms were sparse but spotless and very good air-conditioning.
My girl was friendly and despite getting on to 35 or so had a firm body. Her pleasant disposition and dim room lighting fixed whatever facial shortcomings.
The deal is that the lady gets half of the 800 and half of any drink the customer buys for her. I tipped my lady 200 and she was pleased.
On the way out I espied a fourth girl; another Column B type, but probably the best looker in the place which explains why she was busy when I came in.
Would I go back? Maybe. I've had far worse experiences at 5 times the price with 5 times hotter gals. The decor of a place doesn't much matter to me so that's no help, nor is a bath/soapy always so important. Comparing this place to other down-market farang MP places I'd say it rates nearly on a par with Annies.
The difference is that critical extra 30 minutes you get at Annies and a better selection if you time it right. On the other hand, if you're a one-shot guy and like your girls a little older and darker (but still firm), SH is something to check out.
I don't know that it's possible to go farther down-market than this place without being in a full-fledged f_ckshop: no toilet, no bath, no massage = no fun IMHO.
But for 800 baht at Sweet Heart you get 90 minutes away from the world, a little company, you blow your wad and you feel better for a few minutes. It's not money wasted.

Solid FR Jay... great work. Did you happen to check on their "crackdown era" opening hours? One of the points in favor of Sweetheart (for me) has always been the early opening hours. (Somewhere around 09:30 like Annies was pre crackdown).

Yes. I had no problem with that. The Thai touts you can simply ignore; walk right past without a word and no eye contact.
There's also a couple of fat boys who hang around a big car of some sort in that area. I'm not sure what they are up to, but their English is not Thai-accented and they look like they might be Arabs or Russians. Can somebody clue me in as to what they are pimping?

Bringing this one back to life because somebody got out to play today. Guess who. Go on, guess.
Anyhow, at 2'ish there were 7 girls in the lobby:
2 fat girls;
2 high-mileage types with decent bodies;
1 bored-looking slighty chubby girl [and another one same-same still getting into her makeup];
1 cute little thing with a nice rack.
