Last time it cost me 4000 for a 2 hour massage.
I took a taxi there so the driver waited for us outside. Then he took us back to the hotel and told us we could pay him whatever we wanted.
So how's that 4000 bhat divided between the massage parlor, the girl and the taxi driver who brought us there?

Did you pay the taxi driver for the girls service??? Are you nuts? So the driver probably took 50% and let the girl split the rest with the mp - You should have given it all to the girl so she could pay the taxi.

The answer to that question depends on where you go, and how much you paid. In some places the service is say, 1,500 B, and if you paid 4,000 B, then 2,500 B goes to the driver.
I was told by an MP girl, that limousine drivers from a 5-star hotel would bring customers to the massage parlor, he would arrange with the papasan a price of say USD 200 or USD 300. The girl is a sideline/model, so her price is 3,200 (of which 1,800 goes to her, remainder goes to the establishment). The driver pockets the difference of the quoted price and the actual price. Not bad for a couple of hours work!

Girls at average MPs, frequented mostly by Thais, e.g. BVA, Bangkok Cosy etc, get 300-400bt per customer, rest goes to house/cabbie etc ... Obviously the girls at the more upmarket places do better, but certainly many would make alot more hanging out in CM2, or perhaps GT

At poseidon, the percentage cut depends on the pricing. Girls on the model lounge at 2700 baht get 1400 and the ratio goes up with price. There's also the issue of salary, girls who come in 15 days (or is it 10) get a few thousand baht salary.
The massage places aren't nearly as profitable as say a lounge. Think of their overhead costs (electricty, water etc). They make money alright, but the real profit for some of the a massage parlors is money laundering.

3rd floor at Poseidon the 2,900 Baht girl -lowest on the scale gets 1,500 per shot (add 1,000 surcharge for farangwhich is slpit 50/50). The top ones get 3,000 Baht per shot. Interestingly, they get their share in cash at the end of each day.

Agree with BK. It entirely depends on where did you go. Probably CUPIDY or MONALISA, I reckon.
In any case the soapy you have got was too expensive. Next time you may wish to go to any other MP that does not give any tip to taxi drivers (see the info provided in the main page of this Website).
Ah! keep in mind that 4K is even a bit costly if compared with the price of the best sideliners at MIRAGE, CAESARS, CLEOPATRA, etc.
