love this thread... love the shaving thing and would also love to make the fully dedicated statement in this area... :-D
Only problem for a married man like me is: how to explain the pornstar look to the wifey later who is surely not ready for this?
My solution: a nice but limited trimming that helps the TG to enjoy my tool but avoids raised eyebrows and questions from wifey...
There was a time when I used a scissor for this... Bad idea... One day I cut my sack and had to deal with some severe bleading... No more going out in that night... 
hhmm.. on a second thought: why not using the service mentioned here? Ann and her colleagues are surely ready to do the trimming instead of the full shave... And the idea of two TGs taking care of this is... marvelous...

Day One: Checked into Continent Hotel, sky room, Excellent location, 1min walk from soi cowboy, new and good rooms,
Started the day after coffee at Starbucks walked down to Soi 11, walked into a salon and foot massage place still 9:30 am, a late 20s lady Ms. Aya, was present and another 50+ who seems to the cahier/manager greeted me, salon opposite Ambassador hotel, in the corner, nice place.
Asked for pedicure and manicure, Ms.Aya, starts the procedure, looks sort of cute and OK English, after that I ask for hair trim and coloring, then facial, this takes about 2 hours, she tries to sell me an foot massage and tell her I need to first have a shave there indicating to the pubic area before venturing into other activities, she mentions we can do it, AHHH every salon in Bangkok can do it – I think just have to ask, leads upstairs to an open area with three mattress on the floor, which is used for full body massages, asks me to undress returns with warm water, gel and a razor and goes at it, does a good job, felt much better then the nana hotel barber shop, asks me to get on all the four and does a meticulous job on the crack and very close to the hole running her fingers and making sure no hair is left, no extras offered and no extras asked from my side.

This is a interesting topic. I personally like to get waxed as it lasts longer than shaving. I will not wax my balls (I have visions of tearing skin). However this shaving seems interesting. I have had a hard time finding information on waxing (although I have not looked in a while). I will be in Bangkok for a few days in April. I would at least like to try this shaving and see if it is any good.

PARIS (March 18, 2013) : A trend for shaving, clipping or waxing pubic hair may encourage the spread of a skin virus, French doctors suggested on Monday.
In a letter to a specialist journal, dermatologists in Nice said that over the past decade they had noted a rise in cases of a so-called poxvirus called Molluscum contagiosum, or MCV.
MCV causes painless, pearl-like nodules on the skin that usually disappear after a few months among people of normal health. It is sometimes seen on the face, arms and hands, but can spread through scratching or sexual contact.
The doctors reported on the case of 30 patients who over 14 months were treated at a private dermatology clinic in Nice for sexually-transmitted MCV.
Six of them were women and the rest were men; their average age was 29.
All had MCV nodules on the pubis, abdomen or legs, while 10 also had other conditions such genital warts, bacterial skin infection or ingrown hairs.
Hair removal may cause "microtraumisms" to the surface of the skin, facilitating infection by the virus and other "minor" sexually transmitted infections, the doctors theorise.
The risk appears to be higher for shaving, but does not apply to laser treatment for hair removal.
"Pubic hair removal is a body modification for the sake of fashion, especially in young women and adolescents but also growing among men," according to the letter, published in the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections.
"The reasons for choosing genital hair removal remain unclear but may be linked with internet-based pornography."

Nothing in that article suggests a major risk from shaving. And nothing in it says anything about the bacteria that can flourish in a forest of pubic hair even with frequent washing. I will continue to see a nice ball shave each time I visit BKK and I will encourage all my TGFs to get a Hollywood wax.

Whatever... I fully agree with the assumption that pubic shaving is a risk to the skin and therefore to the sexual health in general.
By now my pubic shaving always resulted in at least some minor micro cuts... as it does with my beart shaving as well... And all such skin cuts are a severe breach of security, especially if some skin to skin contact is expected...
