Was there yesterday around 4pm. The selection was pretty good, about 10 girls at fishbow, didn’t check out the model lounge. The service was pretty average, I guess you really can’t expect the soapy MP have same high service standard like oil massage. The girl seem to be rushing a bit. She started to wash me up again after 1hr. (it suppose to be 1.5hr per session ) So I only tip hr 200baht, was thinking of not to tip her at all…The plus side is that girls there are all above average looking, as you can expect from soapy. And they seem to have Jacuzzi tub in every room.
So here is what I suggest, if you want a really good f***, go to oil massage, 9/10 you will get much better service. Personally, I only go to MP once awhile to get a change of taste. MP girls usually are prettier, but that’s about it.

Excuse me but why tip at all? Stopped going to soapies a long time ago, but years ago tipping was not expected. Besides, if you are a farang you're already paying a surcharge.

well, I am not a farang. usually I tip 500. thought it's standard for everyone here. plus the girl was ok, just bit unhappy she cut my time short...so tip her 200.
another MP down side I guess. MP they don't enforce their girl to stay for full time. most of the oil massage place if I leave before time is up, the owner will ask why.

Ok, that makes sense. If you aren't paying the surcharge then it makes sense to give the girl 500. The main reason I avoid soapies is because of the extra charge which I find a bit insulting. Rather go for an oil massage where I'm not treated like I'm some lower form of life.

Gratuities in Thailand are purely discretionary on your part and meant to recognise, reward and motivate employees toward excellent service delivery

Who told you that rubbish?
There is no mandatory tipping policy in Thailand. However, this does not prevent you from giving a small gratuity to a service provider for truly exceptional service or fulfilling requests of an extraordinary nature

Got some of the best rooms of any of the soapies. However, I find the girls on the short side and the look not quite to my tastes. I also thought the girls upstairs were waaaaay overpriced (5-6k plus for rather average looking girls). I guess to each their own......
