Ok, Finally found a place that fits the bill. Tenderlions, as mentioned above, is a fine place. It is not a Morton's quality but for the price ($675 500gm t -bone) I don't think you can be disappointed. I believe I ordered the most expensive Item on menu. They have many items at lower prices. I glanced at the grill on the way out and saw some great looking ribeyes. I am going back today for thier Sunday all you can eat Barbq. Only $295.
Think this place is a keeper!

many Japanese restaurants will serve the beef this way as it is meant to be teppanyaki style.
My favorite continues to be NY Steakhouse at Marriott. It is very expensive for LOS but great meat. They now have US beef back on the menu as well.

frozen US beef, nothing like it in the world, oh wait... almost everybody in the world gets frozen beef....
frozen, juiceless, words have such meaning...
everyone knows in LOS that all US beef is frozen, although I am not one to say I love wagyu, from Australia. US Beef all the way... but dont give praise to something that is inferior.
and yes US beef is allowed in the country, chilled, well the way Thais cut their beef you won't find a porterhouse or rib-eye cut in 1 1/2 inches or more... because.... FROZEN!!!
you want good beef, check the source. their are 2-3 restaurants that serve Thai beef that has been breed with Aussie but feed on US Grain... guess what the taste is remarkably better... perfect marbling, perfect rare or even blue... you want frozen, have fun... 2 on suk and 1 up north...

Best beef for the price is at Villa Market. The fresh beef is from up north (Thailand). Almost as good as Canadian and US beef. The owner who now has several outlets was once the US Air Force Commissary Head Butcher way back in the 70's so cuts are to US/ Canadian liking.

The NY Steakhouse at the Marriott is a disgrace. Lousy, frozen meat, and every potato side dish has either been taken out of a bag from a supermarket and deep-fried or microwaved. Why anyone pays more than 200 baht for such crap is a mystery. What's more, it's in a 3-star hotel.
The only way to enjoy a really good steak in Thailand is to find a butcher with a good cut for sale and then cook it at home. Leave the Marriott's little steakhouse to natives who don't know better or can't cook.

Here here, second that. I have a good mate who bring's me over thick aussie beef sausages. On the BBQ, they go well with good steak, lamb chops and pork spare rib's. Now that is a good feed when you have a lazy day.

Best steaks in Thailand are found minced in McDonalds.
Chuckchai has a novel approach of butchering its dairy cows and selling them as beef steaks, boney assed shitter cows.
I had a steak there once, was sent back 2 times. Was the worst meat I have ever seen or tatsed in my rather glorious life.
I could tell you all a secret, what, where and how to get the best steak your mouth will ever taste in your life time. Just picture that, imagine the taste right now of the best steak you have ever had and imagine that tenfold and you could be close to getting the real deal. But then nobody here could really go and do it, it is 'that' special and only for the select few with a bit of adventure and brains in there heads....rules out a few.
