Hey all- going to phuket for first time mid dec with friends. Stating at Kata/Karon beach area and want to know if there is any st bars or mps in the area or is it all located at patong. Dont want to bring an st back to the hotel as we are a few of us sharing the place.
Must be something around the area for a quickie...?

before u wonderfull tossers chew my head off- yes I have read the forums and the one about "katon" beach.
Just figured u chaps might have an update.
Phuket seems to be Jimmy Honolulu and Nokna's playground.
So how bout it guys- anything worthy in Kata/Karon area?

Hi Urban.
i know nothing about Karon/Kata beaches.
have passed through them but my normal playground is never more than 15 minutes walk from my hotel.
just a couple of links for you and if you do a search on Google looking for Karon/Kata beach-bars then a lot of pages appear.
seems that they are quiet, but i'm sure that you can find someone available for that good time.

but at night I would suggest getting the transport to Patong for the GUARANTEED good time.

Absoultely agree with Nokna, Patong is the place for action with TG's. There are other "interesting" places to find in some of the smaller towns but stick to Bangala Road and you can't go wrong! Have a great time there, I usually do!

If anybody does know of any nice bars for bgs in the kara/katon area then let me know.

Don't worry about it... You may be pleasently suprised by Kata. I was there three years ago and did not need to go to patong, I did anyway, but that's another story.
Just tell your friends ok, you guys carry on, I'll catch up later, then do your thing in Kata...
Have fun, its hard not too...

Triyclops? U say there is some sort of life at Kata beach. Anything more specific? Beer bars, MPs, st bars? Let me know where- thanks mate

I live in Phuket and if you're looking for action in Kata, you're gonna have to get lucky or not be too picky when looking for a girl. There's only bars in Kata/Karon so you'd be wanting to find a free lancer that's hanging out. I doubt there are any S/T rooms either, but I've never looked for one. If you find a girl and are desperate for a room, you can always go back to her room (LOL).
Do the beach in Kata by day, catch an early dinner/drinks, then tuk tuk up to Patong. Before midnight you can cruise the bar beers along Soi Bangla, and if you find someone you like, there's a S/T room on Soi San Sabai called 'Cadillac Mansion.' Soi San Sabai is diagonally across from Rock Hard. After midnight I recommend Star World, and then Tai Pan for dancing or looking for a lady. Then once the bars close around 2:30am, you can stop off at 'Safari' on your way back to Kata.
If you want, let me know when you're in town and I'll give you a guided tour of Patong.
But be warned: It's high season and the best looking ladies are off the market early. And if you see one you like, you better grab her because she probably won't be there later.
