Okey... need all the input I can get now.
Going back in just a few days (the 6th of Dec) and need to know how much has changed the last year in patong?
Christines.. are they back into hight-season yet?? With prices from 1800-2500 baht? Are there any freelancers there yet, as last year?
Soi Eric still the number one? Or ??? Tiger Bar, any EP-style locations ???
Are the ST-hotels still located on Sawatdirak Rd?? (between beach and Rat-U-Thit) ?? This high-season prices anyone?
And..have the tourism recovered enough yet to make the girls haggle about prices and charge plenty of cash for ST/LT?
And I hope there will be NO american marines in thailand for R&R this winter??
Thanx in advance to anyone sharing the latest info.. I'll be down soon enough to know.. but always better knowing the score BEFORE starting to deal with them babes!

Well.. that question is very easy to answer..*lol*
They are just like a huge flock of seagulls.. you know those "the loud and obnoxious birds near the sea"
All of a sudden there is thousands of screaming and littering "persons" trashing the wonderful beaches...
When they are not beating the s*t out of the girls they never haggle about the prices and every kind of skank ho comes from all over the area trying to get customers.
It's ten times worse then a huge crowd of drunken brits or germans in Spain... *lmao*

i have to agree with DB.
i hate it when my visit coincides with the American Navy.
i have seen many fights, bad treatment of the Girls and suchlike.
i understand their 1st port of call may be Phuket or Pattaya after many days at sea and they want a good time, but why do the minority have to spoil it for the sensible ones who just want to have a Beer and talk to a Girl?

just to make things clear.
i have nothing against Americans, their Navy or any other Nation.
just that in my experience I have only ever seen the Americans having R & R in Patong.
while most of them have had a good time, there have been an element who have spoilt things for others.
i understand many visiting servicemen from many Nations visit the Thailand shores each year and I would imagine the same sort of thing happens.
there will always be idiots around.
but this is not confined to servicemen and I have also seen it among non Military types and just shake my head when it happens.
after all I have been a victim of English violence which meant a Hospital visit for me.

What??? I happen to be an NFL fan, and I've never had any problems; nor have I seen anything in my entire life to lead me to believe that NFL fans in general are "bad, evil people."
I think you'd find more problems with a British "football" fan, or any Rugby fan than you would an NFL fan. I've never seen a fight break out in the RCA Dome, or the Super Dome, or any other NFL stadium. I HAVE seen a few riots from the English League however! Damn soccer holigans!!!
