I used to work at this hotel.
Right on the beach...not exactly. Right down the south end of the beach away from most of the nightlife and there is no real beach at the hotel.
Taxi drivers love to blackmail residents of this hotel, though it used to offer some sort of courtesy transport, not sure about now.

Is sounds like you have a lot of money to spend jagsbb, which is good.
But my advise would be to get a ok hotel close to action so you can spend your money on other things.
Vises Patong Hotel, C&N Hotel, Expat Hotel are some of the choices.
I will be in Patong from 26 Jan to 3 Feb. don’t know where to stay yet but surely not Amari.

some of the above choices are in an ideal location.
5000 for one night is normally what I pay in a day for Hotel,food,drinks,BF and the Girls fee.
that price for a night in a Hotel is way over the top for me.
never paid more than 700 per night.
but we are all different and like to spend our money in different ways.
