I have been trawling threw some posts from a few months ago and found them out of date compared to the prices I paid when I was in Phuket from23-30 November,it was sandwiched in between 10 days in BKK.
Bar Fines
I found most bars only charging 300-400bhat, this compares to 500b in BKK
Lady Drinks
I was never charged more than 100bhat at any bar, but
After playing and losing a game of hammer and nail with the owner of a bar on Soi Eric the bottle of woodpecker cider she won from me cost 200bhat, a bit of a rip off I think!
Short time
I was never asked for more than 1000bhat, but I didn’t have any ST as LT was great VFM. Normal BKK, I paid 500, 1000, and 1500bhat so probably works out about the same.
Long Time
I long timed for 6 out of the seven nights, each time 1500bhat was asked and paid plus a 100bhat for the tuk tuk the next day. Minimum in BKK 2000bhat.
Hotels
Phuket
Mini suite at The Sunset Beach Resort 2400bhat per night (sea view)
Bangkok
Mini Suite in tower 2 of The Grand President 2900bhat per night.
So in my experience, Phuket isn’t as expensive as BKK is, for what its worth.

LT in BKK and LT in Phuket was the same price for me UKGUY - Bt1000
TBH I prefere Phuket to BKK anyway, its more of a holiday resort, what with the beach and all.

Lots of comparisons between Phuket and Bkk made already so Ill add my opinions. Selection of girls in Bkk on my visit was much more extensive than Phuket. Girls in Bkk more willing to please and be pleased than Phuket. Phuket hotels were nowhere near as value for money as Bangkok hotels. Atmosphere in Bkk was very much..if you have the money 'anything goes'. Maybe it was just me but Phuket had a more restricted, tourist sex scene feel to it...maybe due to a more limited number of girls? Phuket prettier than Bkk but Patong beach was rank at the top end and the water in need of some serious cleansing! (Hire some transport and go to Karon beach instead and relax and a true tropical beach). Note that Karon would do incredibly well with a developed p4p scene here. If only one soi easy got going here the resort would turn into a winner.
I never once felt threatened in BKK however in Phuket I felt uneasy at some of the guys hanging around the bottom of Bangla at the end of a night..like they were going to jump on me. Fishbowl type of massage scene cant even be compared between the two as in Patong I only saw Christins. Food selection was about equal between Bkk for value for money. Transport drivers took the piss in both places. Drinks prices in Phuket were the same as those in Nana Plaza on average, however if you shopped around in Bkk much cheaper drinks could be had. Shopping around in Phuket for cheap watering holes proved fruitless.

Pattaya vs Phuket,
Barfines 200 beer bars, FLB 400, GO GO 500.
Ladydrinks range from 80 to 100.
Hotel on soi 8, Flipper Lodge 800 mid range equal to Majestic Suites about 1100.
Short time, the girls are good to go 500.
Long time, I've paid 1000 some BG want more but there is so many others that are good to go for 1K.
Easier and cheaper to get to Pattaya from BKK.
Transportation around Phuket is a ripoff by baht bus. Guys wanted 100 baht to go 100 meters. Pattaya the price is set at 10 baht to go around 90% of the night life.
Beach and water in Pattaya, lots of fecal material. I don't come to Thailand for the beach only the temples. 
I've been to Phuket twice, nice place but I like Pattaya better. Everything in Pattaya is cheaper.

Sorry, I didnt make myself clear, phuket is said to be the most exspensive place in LOS, I was just trying to say that I didnt find it that way.
But yr right, if yr looking for the cheapest pussy in LOS Pattaya seams to have it coverd, however if it isnt the cheapest, I know a couple of guys who will put us str8 on that when they wake up!

I mean restricted tourist sex scene feel to it as the girls in Bkk seemed to be prepared to get their kit off and be more carefree in their attitude when walking around the bars in BKk compared to Patong where the girls seemed too scared/afraid (maybe of the authorities??) to do anything deemed to be even slightly naughty, risque or carefree. I didnt go on the kings birthday, I went in March-May and although there were a large number of girls as I understood it not all of them were available to take home with etc. I found this strange at the time but I was told that not all girls that work in the bars are there for p4p, many are there to provide eye candy and be good at drawing the customers in. This is unlike bkk where every girl seemed to be for the picking.

I think if you were to visit BKK today you would find things have changed a little.
The Thai government have been on a bit of a clean up campaign since before the big APEC meeting was held there in October, all the gogo's have been warned that they will be closed for thirty days if there is any nudity, at least a couple were.
I did see a few topless girls dancing but they were in the vast minority, the clean up is well documented in this forum.
I also didn’t come across any girl working at any bars in Phuket that wasn’t available, I don’t know if there has been a change or I was just lucky, other more experienced members here may be able to shed some light on this.
But balls to all this! Did you have as good a time as I did?

Like the way you finish UK.
You gotta love this place. I come here on business, bless the company and everywhere I go in Thailand there are girls willing to satisfy this farang for a few baht. Even up in the middle of nowhere! I'm not too worried about a few dollars diffrence in prices, it sure beats working in Maryland!

After living on Phuket and recently moved to BKK...
Phuket is far more expensive than BKK. Everywhere you can find bargains, either for girls, hotels or transportation, but overall you will spend more on Phuket. On the other hand, Pataya is cheaper than Bangkok, this mainly due to over suply in all of the sectors used by tourists.
The 'scene' in Patong is more friendly than in BKK, more geared to sanuk than making the 'deal', what I prefer more. Go to gogo bars for a beer and meeting people, not to watch the girls shuffle.
OK, the above is just my opinion.....
