What about the Sea Pearl.
I have stayed at Baipho -good deal and service but the discount I am getting is substantial.

Ok I'm also looking for a Nice Newish Hotel around Sukhumvit
I'm bringing a Very Good Friend over late Oct and he's Never been overseas and is going through Divorce etc..
I would Normally get the best room at Town Lodge for him as I like The easy going feel that RTB's and his staff provide, I want a pool and Town Lodge is filling up fast with all the improvements going on etc etc
Something around Asoke not the lower end of Suk for four nights and G/F so he can get the x out of his system, than off to Patts for a couple of nights than hopefully back to Town Lodge? Toxic for a Round Table and 
Anyone ideas please?

Hey HE Needs a pool and I have to get wall 2 wall for him first couple nights.
We can come to Toxic and if there is a few sweet Ladies there and if they want, I'll bar fine them for his First Night in HEAVEN.

I stayed at the Patong Paragon hotel in early September - lovely place, modern, clean, room opened straight onto the massive lagoon pool, but they charged THB1200 per guest which I found ridiculous. I spoke with the manager who claimed that was their policy, irregardless of season or hotel occupancy (there were less than 20 people staying in the whole place) - he wouldn't budge on the price, not even BKK guest fee prices which soured my whole stay. I wouldn't go there again, even if it was as cheap as we got it (THB2400 per night for pool access deluxe room).
