looking for good comfortable mid priced hotel (1500- 2000 baht per night double room) preferably near beach in Patong Beach. Used to be a reasonable one just off Bangla Road which was handy for a short drunken walk home..
Any advise appreciated.. thought someone had mentioned a new boutique hotel that had just opened.

The Baipho looks so nice. I completely forgot to check this place out on my last visit. Wish there were some reviews on the place... Read on another site that guests get free access to the pool at the Montana Grand Hotel.

I was there in June for 4 days and got the stay 4 pay 3 discount. I had a deluxe room and it had maybe the biggest bed I ever saw. I didn't have any difficulties so I really didn't interact w/ the staff much, but they were vert friendly when I did see them. It is located right across the street from Christines massage parlour, so it's not far to the beach or to Bangla road. I really recommned this place.

My first trip to Phuket is coming up in early September. The plan is to stay somewhere on/across the road from the beach in Patong at a GF hotel with budget up to B3,000 per night. There's some pretty good deals on at the moment, and I've heard it pays to approach the hotel directly for an even better special?
We were thinking of a 2 bedroom suite, but this seems to be much more expensive than two separate rooms. This will be a relaxing holiday/party time so we don't want anywhere to crummy and a pool is a must. Any thoughts?
